vMOL HM on a stam toon

So what i want to know is how does stam fair in the HM. Ive done VMOL A few times wich seemed to be not that bad provided the tanks and healers know what they are doing. Is stam viable in there or should i go magicka. BTW this is directed at people that have completed HM.
Edit: i know similar posts have been made but from ive seen they are usually complaint threads.

✭✭✭✭✭I have not completed HM, but yes - Stamina is viable.
It generally goes that there are many more Magicka aka Ranged DPS but a Stamina Sorc/DK can pull incredible single target DPS. Having 1-2 is probably better than having none.

✭✭✭✭I haven't completed it, but from what I have seen in many attempts, rolling stam in vMoL HM is something you would do to be stubborn. It doesn't bring anything to the encounter that helps the group out. ✭✭✭✭Stam DK and stam sorc is definitely viable. Whatever magicka users say, stamina DK still had the highest pure single target dps in the game. However, molhm relies a lot on AOE damage. I would personally not take more than one or max two stam characters with me, simply because they lack aoe damage.
The second thing is, MOLhm is hard. Not just hard, it is very hard and extremely unforgiving. Stamina players have no shields at all. As a magicka player you can just spam shields in difficult situations. When trying for a groups firstclear I recommend no stam characters at all to be honest, because they will be the ones eating dirt the most.
Lastly, magicka is so much stronger that most raids run a lot of magicka players. In this case it is also not worth it to support the stamina players imo. Rkugamz, nmg, sunderflame, just for one or two players? Nah.
Moral of the story: not clear yet? Don't reinvent the wheel and don't be the one that dude that wants to play his stam character even if it is useless for progressing in the encounter. Go magicka.
One thing is for sure, as a stamina player in a group that hasn't cleared it yet you are praying every single platform switch of the boss that you please don't die, while magicka users just shield and carry on.Edited by Woeler on December 12, 2016 3:31AM2
