So in the past few days I has been farming normal MA for a set I want every free moment, except when I'm roleplaying. I've seen many people in zone and guild chat looking for a tank or healer for many times. I also know there is a long line of dps waiting in group finder. I can do all 3 roles. I can help them, yet I feel the reward is not worth for me to step outside of the arena to help them. Now don't say I'm selfish for doing so. I only have a limit time to play, and if I just keep helping people farming for their set, then who's gonna farm MY set for me?
Rather than spend time playing all the dungeons, grouping with all kind of different people, we're stuck with a "best" farming group, or solo, farm 1 single dungeon over and over again till we sick of it, yet still don't get the piece of gear we want. Newbies who just wanna try it out but don't have enough dps to get into the "max-dps-burn-thru-mechanic-farming-group", because that kind of group is the most effective way to get gear. This make the gaming experience become boring, frustrating, and not fun at all. This also make filling a group harder, because unless there is a piece of gear in that dungeon that one need, they won't waste their limit game time to run it. The dungeon runners community is full of people who WANT to find a group for dungeon, just not THAT dungeon, so in the end we rarely find a group at all.
This is why we need a token system. All the dungeons, or at least, a group of dungeons should give the same token. Running any normal dungeon will give you silver token, vet give you gold token. Beside that, WGT and ICP give another kind of tokens, called IC silver and gold token, Maelstrom give MA token... ect... And if you want to get a v16 divine boot of Scathing Mage for example, you need 20 silver tokens, 20 gold, and 10 IC silver + 5 IC gold tokens. Or you want a v15 Winterborn ring, you need 20 silver, 20 gold, 20 MA silver tokens, v16 rings or MA weapons would take 20 silver, 20 gold and 20 MA gold. With this system, people will have more reason to run more different dungeons.
It also help finding a group, specially in group finder easier, because as in another thread I posted a week ago, if tanks have more reason to queue for more runs after they've finished their daily random and pledges, dps can find a group faster and they are not too desperate to the point they have to sign up as something they can't do just to find a group. And more "real" tank using group finder also mean you have more chance to meet a "real" one rather than a dps-pretend-to-be-tank.
