Is this Zerg or Solo play?

Solo

the zerg follow one directive (the crown) and will not think for themselves, they won't help others but themself and will throw themselves mindlessly at keeps till they take it.

a solo player is more like a beetle who wondered into a swarm of ants, it may eat some of it's enemy but overall the beetle isn't part of the hive mind and will be left or even swarmed by the zerg.

Not true. You can be a nb off to the side of the Zerg and do your own thing (e.g. You can attract potatoes and try and do 1vx off to the side.) doing the map a favor doesn't always translate into I'm a zerger into a rolling cloud of arms and legs.

Solo means to be alone.
Solo by definition stops being solo when you're doing things with others grouped or not

Not every large group is a zerg, there are some groups that try to use tactics, so not every large group you see is a mindless zerg with assigned buttons to mash. But there are plenty of them, that's for sure.

Once you latch onto the zerg you're one of them until the zerg dissolves or you physically depart.

Now if you were running around and a large group started following you then they would be solo zerging. But you would still be zerg surfing.

If this was PS2, I'd call it a cert-farming lonewolfing zergling. Here I'd have to call it AP-farming lonewolfing zergling.

In either case, or game for that matter. You're likely to have a bad time the moment you come across more than 2-3 working together.

Quite frankly, on the flip side, being a zerger is not a bad thing. RvR is fun. AD has had some fun fights with EP on the bridge. Same with DC on the wall. People want to fight where the action is and there are ways to do it solo.

RvR is nice, except for the fact that the massive lag and rubber banding makes it totally unplayable.

I made this for this thread. Zerging is fun, it's what PvP is in this game until battlegrounds and Arenas hit. Now I'm not much of an AvA guy despite being a loyal DC, I just feel there isn't much reward for taking all the keeps and crowning an Emperor. Large scale battles are still fun as hell though and don't impact the server as much as 2 ball groups going head to head. Grab a beer, laugh and rage whilst helping your allies.

Seriously don't listen to other people, if you enjoy it, do it! (but try make yourself useful)

If your a solo player following a huge group or zerg it's often called zerg surfing also if theres 2 or more friendly players near you its is a zerg apparently.

I def zerg surf with my mag sorc. I don't depend on a zerg, but i do follow them sometimes and take enemies out from the sides or like you said, from the back lol. Solo with benefits.
