Anyone get a rosin lately?

Rosins used to be my most frequent temper. I have nearly 95 of them from using a technique that's worked well for me. I've used countless others.

Needless to say I've gotten rosins a LOT.

But I've noticed I've gotten less of these, even less than tempering alloy, only lately.

I stopped to think why is this.. when did it begin... and I decided it was around the time crown crates came into play.

Then I questioned why is this suddenly nerfed, and suddenly the answer was clear as day.

Housing.

With furniture crafting on the horizon, it only makes sense that woodworking can expect a change. And with this, possibly a nerf to yellow tempers.

Anyone else have a similar opinion? Have you noticed yourself getting less rosins lately?

Blacksmithing and Tailoring will also get furniture "recipes", so why not them too.

And why do you think furniture = nerf to gold tempers (or Rosin at least)?

When I think of housing, I also imagine it to be more woodworking intensive. I can't imagine there would be a difference between a green quality dresser and a gold one though.

That said, it might be interesting to check during the PTS in January what the ratio of woodworking to blacksmithing to clothcrafting recipes is.

As above I don't think gold tempers are going to be used in furniture crafting.

I did some refining yesterday and got roughly 1 gold temper from 200 raw Mats as usual. I was paying attention because the last time I did a batch of refinement I seemed to get loads of dreugh wax but almost no roison and alloy... but that was before crown crates dropped.

My guess is thar nothing has been changed, you've had some funny rng and made a theory to explain the randomness, but it is just random.

from 376, I got 4 today. Funnily enough only got 2 purple resins in that batch and it's the purples I'm currently running low on.

Recently I've be obtaining a huge amount of these. I refined ~100 wood earlier and obtained 5 Rosins. Past few days as well.

I've noticed I get gold tempers more frequently from tier 1 raw mats(maple, rawhide, iron specifically).

Only thing I'm noticing a shortage on is Kuta

Seems I get less from writs and from survey maps and I think I've only gotten 1 out of the last 15 or so survey maps. Makes going to the survey spots a waste of time. Enchanting has the only surveys I've ever considered deleting.

The rest of the legendary upgrade mats have still seemed pretty stable.

I'll share the method; Picking your left nostril, hit the refine button on whichever platform you're gaming on and hope that the RNG Gods are looking down on you favourably. I've noticed I get 2 extra gold mats per 100 if I pick my left nostril. No idea why that is.

I don't think I've been getting as many Rosin lately either, but it's more likely just crap RNG than anything. I've been on a roll of good luck with finding Columbine and Kuta lately. Before the Rosin dry spell, it was Embroidery; I got Wax left and right though. It's weird having more Wax than Embroidery!

I honestly think it's all just down to RNG and if you keep at it, you'll eventually see an upturn in whatever drop you're looking for.

I'm not getting more or less it's always been a fairly bad return from refining
I can't say it's definately less but I can say I feel it's less but that's not based on anything factual.

I hadn't drawn any relationship of a Feb release to anything now

Getting rosin has always been the worst ratio of refinement for me, but I still get it. I use the technique of refining no more than 100 at a station, then when I come to another station, I will do another batch of 100. I do the same with refining ores and silks. I usually get rosin, alloy or dreugh wax at 1:3 or 1:4 station, and it varies on the quantity. When I do get the gold mats, it can be from 1 to 4. I recall, one time at the Lost Pavilion, I got 6 alloys, but that was when I was able to get voidstone, where I would rotate refining 50/50 of voidstone/Rubedite or voidbloom/ancestor silks. Since One Tamriel, no more CP 150 level mats. As for rosin, yeah, I got a couple yesterday.

I don't keep hard figures, but yes I used to get rosins really easily and don't earn them nearly as easily as I used to.

I've refined about 5.5k wood in the last week, it's still sitting at just about 5% (5.26% for 5510 wood). My lowest is actually clothing, where I'm at 4.5% for Dreugh Wax (5920 cloth/leather)... Not a huge sample size, but it's comparable to what I've gotten other weeks.

I recently had no problem with getting gol tempers until today

1k raw leathers and only 2x wax
800 raw wood and 8 rosins

raw wood stole mine wax for rosin

Funny thing...I started refining ruby ash earlier and it gave me a rosin three times in a row, never had that happen before.
