I thought the same thing. In the process of creating a thread for itHousing is a little lacking without storage. Something I would like to see in the future to make it more worth the cost - the ability to craft any craftable set at the craft stations in your home.
Also, I hope they implement a buyable or hireable bard for houses one day. I will miss the bard at the Velyn Harbor bank and I would so spend money on that.

They could just let ESO Plus members have storage, and for gear only. That would add to numbers of subscribers rather than subtract (and also cause a mass outrage on the forums).
