Housing Idea

I just want to put it out there that the best housing system I seen was Everquest. One zone full of houses and it gives it a city like feeling. I hope ESO housing is more like Everquest than to GW2 Guild Hall system and other games where all you do is enter a zone and its an instance of your house.

I would like to see outdoor, neighborhoods, etc etc etc.

That said, another idea I was thinking about is stables, a place to showoff your horse and what not. I would like to see more details into horses and make them more unique, rather than a standard MMORPG copy and paste mount that everyone gets if they buy, do content etc etc. Same standard mount for everyone who obtains it, I'm so sick of that way, I would like to see more customized, mounts.
Like find a certain horse accessories in a dungeon or from crowns, and make your horse, mount, extremely unique and everyone can tell when your coming because your unique customized horse you have that is different than everyone else.
I mention horses because there is horse racing that is confirmed, and there needs to be more customization with horses, this is 2016 going into 2017, the standard copy and paste horse that everyone has needs to go out the window and ESO needs to start being innovative and a leader, like Apple and Amazon.

Yes, ESO has potential. Guess what, every other MMORPG has potential as well. It's only a matter of... Whose going to stop being a sheep and be a leader and make innovative changes, and take risks.

It's not gonna be that way but I feel ya.

Dark age of Camelot had really cool neighborhoods too but I think it's too much to have a new area created and try to keep lore ideas but perhaps Caldwell and Meridian could assist

Specific areas for player houses would likely result in a ghost-town scenario with dead neighborhoods.

I like the idea of separate instance housing. It's annoying to me to constantly be in crowded towns full of dueling and random skill spamming. What I won't like is if all the players who bought a certain house in a certain zone are always forming large crowds at the entry point.. but I guess teleporting in solves that too. Plus exiting a dungeon and immediately returning to your home where you can use assistants for merchants and banking sounds nice too.

The bright side of this is we might be able to use the outside of the house as an extra trade zone.

Don't kid yourself, housing is done...literally done, nothing new will be added without a 9 month development time. Seriously if I am wrong I will torch myself to protest your corporation of choice.

Thats how every MMORPG house is.

I'm talking about having a outside version as well as the instance version.

You may not like large crowds in the city now... Come back 5 years from now and its empty due to spreading out gathering spots, you'll hate it because it gives the MMORPG a feeling that the game is dying.

Just for the record, I would strongly advise moving the gathering spots to the player houses. It helps create a emotional feeling with the game. I would not advise allowing tradeskills in your house, if you do it should be a crown store option.

It's a nice feeling having to do tradeskills and seeing others around you working at it as well.

Again, you may not like it being crowded, but when the crowd is gone, its not much greener either. I'd rather be annoyed too many people, than get a feeling the game is dead because nobody is around.
