What do all the abbreviations mean? I'm kinda newish to this and still don't get it. What does AoE mean or DoT or stuff like that?

✭✭✭✭✭AOE = area of effect. Means a skill/ability that is targeted at an area (usually ground based) instead of a specific mob. Also (mis)used for designating any multitarget effect.
DOT : damage over time. Some skills do all their effect at once, other skills have an effect like X damage per second for Y seconds. Those are called DOTS (or HOTS - heal over time - if they're healing skills).
You can ask your friend Google : those abbreviations are not ESO-specific, they're afaik widely used in the MMO-universe. Even maybe the entire gaming culture.

✭✭And some others that might help: DD: damage dealer, DPS: Damage per second, Wtb: want to buy, WTS: want to sell, LFG: looking for group. Can't think of anymore right now. Hope that helps though
