When will we get an ice and fire version of Storm calling skills for our sorcs? It would be a nice addition :)

It'd be pretty awesome. I'd support it. Ice spells 100% get my vote!

With that said, we realistically have another way to look at it:

    Lightning - Sorcerer's "Storm Calling"
    Fire - Dragonknight's "Ardent Flame"
    Frost - Warden's "Winter's Embrace"

If you want Fire you need to switch classes, and if you want Frost you've gotta wait awhile :/

A Sorc of Ice and Fire?

Well, that would make my Cryomancer's life much easier.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

It would be particularly interesting to have the sorceror deal elemental damage based on their equipped staff, lightning being the default if no staff was equipped.

Overload would be hilarious on vampires...

Dude I'm playing as a mage... a sorcs. A mage should have access to both ice and Flame regardless.

If this is an Elder scrolls game then it should be treated as such. Not to make things so complicated like ZOS prefers.

To the blazing hell with DragonKnight and Warden. I want my mage to be a mage... to be able to have the choice of being either Cryomancer or Pyromancer. I want the elder scrolls feeling back.

I think it's ridiculous that were stuck with lightning.

Elder Scrolls Online is not Skyrim, Oblivion, or any other TES game. We are talking about an MMO with defined classes here. Don't come to ESO expecting it to be like Skyrim. lol

If you really want to run a Fire Mage just use a Dragonknight. You'll be very happy with it.

Sorcs use lightning and do it very well. Wardens will eventually arrive and use Frost.

Until then, equip a Fire/Ice Staff and don't use lightning-based Sorc skills to be a Pyromancer/Cryomancer.

Mage and sorcerer does not mean the same thing. All sorcerers are mages but all mages are not sorcerers. MagDKs, MagNBs are mages too.

Mages don't have to know Destruction spells at all. Why, just take a look at my MagBlade: a Master Illusionist who knowq very little of Destruction magic...

... or maybe he does know such spells, and just makes sure nobody sees them coming? :D

I really don't like the Heavy Attack from a Lightening Staff so I would love a Fire Staff to have the same effects/elemental bonuses as Lightening. I can kind of see why they don't as the DK gets the Fire Buffs, but it could be balanced out over all.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
