"Rkindaleft" Pronounciation

catcher51
catcher51
After managing to snag the awesome deal on Orsinimium dlc, I have completed most of the content. One of the last major things I have to do is the Rkindaleft public dungeon. And I can't in good conscience do it without figuring out how to pronounce it first. Any help is of course appreciated.

I say a hard R, then the English words "kinda" and "left".
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Because after the quest was over, he just kinda left.

Many of us thought of it as 'Droo' based on the fact it was unpronounced in Morrowind. Now we have it pronounced by characters in game so I have actually changed my pronunciation because of it to 'Dreg'. I also think of it as R'kin-da-left. One way to make it easier to say is to say 'Erkindaleft' or Reh-kindaleft, and simply make the 'e' sound as minimal as possible. There are similarities in other real world languages for such things.

    The 'R' is pronounced by itself, then the rest of the name. So it's like this;

    (ar-kin-dah-left)
I say "R-kin-daleft". I also snap when I hear "drew wax". They pronounce it "dreg" right in the damn game! Cmon people!

There are guildmates I talk to sometimes that pronounce it like "Droog-wax" and I force myself to keep from busting in and correcting them. If we don't know for sure the pronunciation then I can forgive but there are NPC's everywhere that say it to you, there's no reason for people to get it wrong.

That's just our minds trying to make sense of an odd spelling. When it's just the letter 'R' at the beginning you pronounce it like you're saying just "R", and then the rest of the name.

Dwemer names aren't meant to be pronounced. When ancient Dwemer needed to name things, they just threw pepper in the face of some random hobo and copied down his sneeze for the name.

I imagine it's kind of like Tbilisi. Which is not pronounced Tibilisi. It's just T-bili-si.
So that makes it R-kin-da-left in my head.

I have heard that if word in tes world starts with rk, it means rest of it is silent and when you pronounce it you need to put "o" in front of it.
    So yeah properly pronounced its:

It depends on your native language. Pronouncing these consonant clusters is usually difficult for English speakers, but some of us have similar sounds in our languages and don't find the spelling odd at all.
