Well, i think walking in the game is pretty funny than i expected. Just try to walk in a city and watch people. All running around, every one being in a hurry, all busy... While i walking i imagined a city all people walking. Like a slowcity = ) Then i imagined what if we do a journey bY walking. Just think about 50-60 people on their mounts, tripping from south to north in Glenumbra! I think that will be the real joruney in Tamriel. Maybe ZOS add any quest like that for a pilgrimage for mages. Just an idea...
Whenever i search for an alternative game, i realize that how beautiful ESO is...

I usually walk as well, and certainly if i'm exploring new places or just moving from place to place or in between quests. I'm in no great rush to complete the content, so it suits me fine.

That's exactly what I do with my newest character - an old Reguard. He has seen so many winters and summers and his limbs and bones just are too old to hurry and run around like everybody else does. Also, his pet - a pocket mammoth called Mumble - is not made for running around all the time - so they discover the world in a slow and steady pace. It is very interesting what you see if you do not hurry. He also has a horse, of course, but it is an old mare called Marble, so he only rides her at a slow walking pace.

This definitely is not for impatient players - but I really enjoy playing with him. And the small mammoth is hilarious, even if it has some bugs with the animation sometimes.

And the funny thing is: normally my chars are ignored by other players - but this old one apparently draws attention. :)

Well, there are some things you just can't do with this kind of playstyle - I don't have a problem with that.

I do the same thing with my little old lady argonian. XD Sometimes, she mounts up, but even the mount usually stays in a walk, because the bouncing of a running mount hurts her hips.

Though she does make an exception lately, to navigate around the Alik'r desert... better to be sore than to be a dried-up husk of an amphibious lizard!

I especially love walking in cities, zoomed in to see all the other player characters. You see some great character designs, costumes, and armor/robe sets that way. :)

    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

I too take my time once and a while to enjoy the world. Often stopping near a body of water to fish, cook, clean myself up, and camp out. Wish there was an emote that spawned a camp-fire to sit next to.

I often walk in town and Buffy often walks her mare while traveling. In fact walking is an easy way to tell players from NPCs. 95% of players run and 99% of NPCs walk.

I have been whispered to many times, "How do you make your character walk instead of run?" Lol.

I do run in combat as it is more survivable and normally run in dungeons with lots of stopping - kinda torn between looking at everything in the dungeon but moving on before pesky foes respawn on my head or right behind me.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo
