This is true, although both of those skills have over utility while flying blade is really just a waste of a slot other than the buff. If you want ranged attack on a stamina character you can play with a bow, plus the damage is terrible and being a projectile it can easily but dodge/reflected. On that note, off topic but if someone dodges your entropy do you still get the major sorcery or does it have to hit?

You get major sorcery and empower for casting entropy, it does not have to hit the target.
Same as biting jabs giving major savagery without having to hit anything.
