Help Me Heal

Hey everyone

So i'm a Templar healer who has pretty much no idea what stats i should be focusing or what gear i should be using. I mainly focus on doing pvp with the occasional pledge here and there. Here is what i currently have:

Helm: Hat of the Healer /Infused/ +1015 magicka
1. Shoulders: Epaulets of the Healer /Divines/ +324 magicka
2. Chest:Robe of the Healer /Infused/ +1015 magicka
3. Belt: Sash of the Healer /Divines/ +324 magicka
4. Gloves:Gloves of the Healer /Infused/ +410 magicka
5. Legs: Breeches of Stendarr/ Infused/ +1015 magicka
6. Feet: Sabatons of the Seducer /Infused/ +410 magicka
7. Rings: Ring of Stendarr x 2, both /Arcane/ +840 magicka and +157 magicka recovery
8. Necklace: Necklace of Stendarr /Arcane/ +840 magicka and +157 magicka recovery
9. Weapon/shield: 1st: Staff of Stendarr /powered/
2and: Sword of willpower /sharpened/ and Shield of Willpower /Divines/ +802 magicka

And the set bonuses i get from my gear are as follows;
1. Healer's habit set: +933 magicka, +124 magicka recovery, +124 spell damage, +8% healing at all times.
2. Stendarr's embrace set: +124 magicka recovery, +933 magicka, +933 magicka, 50% chance to remove up to 5 negitive effects from a target if i heal them.

I chose these two sets mainly because of the set bonuses. The healers habit boost the amount i heal and the removal of harmful effects comes in handy in pvp because people are too *** stupid to use cleansing ritual when i cast it.

I'm CP199. In the mage section i have 65 points invested in "blessed", in the thief section i have 33 points in "arcanist" and another 33 in "Magician". In the warrior section i have 34 points invested in "quick recovery" and 33 points invested in "light armor focus". All 64 attribute points are invested in magicka.

With my staff equipped, i have 30296 magicka and 1911 magicka recovery. Breath of life heals for 9491.

So how good/how bad is all of this? Do you guys recommend any sets that i should use instead to maximize my healing? i have about 200k that i can spend on gear so i am open to and all suggestions. I have think skin so if all of this is complete *** let me know.

take the points from light armor focus and put them into hardy and elemental defender to give you better resitances, as the bonus from light armor focus isn't that great. The 5 piece healers habit is ok for now since you have low cp, but Stendarr's Embrace is not really needed because you rarely get debuffed in PvE (i assume you are healing in pve. If you have the DLC, try getting Spell Power Cure from vWGT, as it provides your group with more damage. Not too sure if any of the new sets from the undaunted are any good for healing such as Chokethorn or Troll King, but you could try them out if you get them. All in all, your build is fine for where you are, but you can make many improvements in the future. I recommend looking into @Alcast and @Deltia on youtube, as they have pretty good healer setups on templar. Hope this helped! :)

I've tried troll king and didn't like it. I found the monster set form Elden Hollow was a better option (even at 2% chance to proc).

    Can't say I've tried Chokethorn.

For pvp cleansing I use the one from the support skill line for the reason mentioned in the OP.

I haven't tried too many different sets with my healer. I'm currently running seducer, will power and the night flame monster set. With that set up I'm only a mediocre healer.

Solo PvP and PvE most of the time.
