I've asked this before on any other thread but can't find the answer sorry guys.

Can anyone confirm for both WGT & ICP

1. What's in the chests now
2. What drops from the dungeon itself

SPC and imperium set still drop from the chest in the vault of WGT. Don't know about the other sets, but I am certain about these, because I got some pieces from it.

regular treasure chests drop any set pieces. traits ofc being random, and bosses, i keep getting same armor/weapon pieces i used to except the drops of bosses has changed? well atleast i get now belts from the 3 miniboss fight instead of just boots.

final boss has chance to drop jewelry + weapons + mask.

Almost always on final boss i get mask + one set item. about... every 4th run i got jewelry piece.

Thanks @kuro-dono , I also meant which sets. I.e. I heard Spell power cure was no longer in the WGT chests, and scathing mage is out of the ICP one?

I just wanted to be 100% sure what sets are still in the chests and which you have to grind.

I think he meant the vault chests. I can only guess those have the same sets as the dungeon itself. Maybe 3 pieces jewelry set on the top if that?

not true, i get spell cure, imperium at wgt chests. weapons/armors/jewelry pieces. for imperium still scathing and rest of the junk.

also, the specific previously trashy unique weapons are now part of the sets aswell. so you have more than one boss chance to get your dear restoration staff of spell cure for example.

if you go for grinding mode on wgt, get team that is more than happy to try find all the chests in the dungeon. I am not sure how the chests work, do they repsawn after first 1 chest been picked or is there always certain amount of chests, but i have had run where i got only one chest while on another run we found 5 chest in total.

interestingly enough, there is few spots/area in the dungeon where there can be 2 chest next to each other.

for the vault chests, i would not really bother wasting the key pieces, not atm atleast. too much of that prosperity and training trash, atleast boss and chest drops seems to be less polluted by those 2 trash trait.

You still get SPC from chests had a ring the other day, so I presume it's the same for scathing and ICP.....

Sorry I did say chests I meant vault. As I heard SPC was no longer in the vaults. Only dungeon. @Mush55 was that since OneT, and you mean in the trophy vault for 150 keys?

Had spc legs and hands divines out of vault about 5 days ago quite surprised as it made a change from prosperous..

SPC still drops from the chests. I got one of my rings, a few trash pieces and a couple of melee weapons and bows by using the Key Fragments, so I'm pretty certain they drop basically everything from the set besides the named weapons (Molag Kena's Touch, The Unbroken).

pardon the seeming necro, but there's a serious lack of information about this aspect of WGT to be found.

What I'm interested in here are the chests found inside the dungeon (not the vault chest crap). After sooo many runs through, a player rounded a corner (after the multi boss fight?) and went backward to a pickable chest location I had never seen before. As much as I have searched, I can find no map indicating possible chest spawn points within the dungeon.

- do they always spawn in each instance?
- how many?
- what can they contain?

Since SPC is absolutely BIS for healers, and since all profit from better healers/buffs this would seem in the interest of all. Anything to reduce the RNGeezus to get the SPC gear needed for the build.

The chests will spawn in consistent locations around the dungeon but are not guaranteed to be there everytime.

I cannot confirm on definite number of chests/per run, the same for heavy sacks. It does appear random however I have read people say there is a definite number that spawn per dungeon but i do not believe this through experience.

They contain any set item of any trait except nirnhoned and also any jewellery of quality blue to purple from any of the 3 sets of that dungeon.

All 3 dungeon-specific sets drop from the vault chest and regular chests (that includes jewelry and various weapons; jewelry from the vault is always purple iirc). Vault drops can be traded with group members if they were in the same instance as you when you looted the chest. Jewelry has fixed traits so its pretty easy to get full spc set with 3 jewelry pieces through the vault.
Also all IC key drops are now the same:no more monstrous teeth, bone fragments etc... Theres only "key fragments" in both dungeons and pvp zone. So you can buy those keys from any guild vendor and use them to get your spc set without pugging wgt. Every chest key costs 160 fragments and they are automatically converted into full keys when you enter the vault. Said keys are bound unlike the fragments and cannot be traded or sold.
Gear and weapons can be farmed from nWGT; normal drops are still blue (including jewelry drops from Molag Kena), but they scale up to cp160 (back in the days they were capped at vr15). Its pretty easy to do nWGT with a 3-4 dd group as long as everyone has some kind of shield/self heal.
So basically:

Normal WGT drops:
-Blue gear
-Blue weapons or jewelry (50/50 chance from the last boss)
-Any gear, weapons and jewelry from random chests

Veteran WGT drops:
-Purple gear
-Purple weapons or jewelry
-Any gear, weapons and jewelry from random chests

All versions give a blue SPC necklace with healthy trait (WGT quest).

that's beautiful... still tho, why no map for random chest locations within the tower? I guess I'll start to put one together as I suffer through PUGS.

There is always 2 chests and 2 heavy sacks in every group dungeon. Without fail.

Although I was once in a group with a guy that claimed to see a chest spawn while the dungeon was still going. He was probably drunk though.

Maybe it was a delayed render like the textures? Perhaps something else?

well.... I know that I have farmed chests that respawned in PUBLIC dungeons (the chests did not appear in the exact same spots, but near by). Do group dungeon chests respawn? Hmmm.... Would it be possible to finish WGT, get the crown and camp/farm chests if they re-spawned? How long can one stay in a dungeon with crown solo?

Usually it appears to be two chest spawns per run. But, yeah, sometimes there are more. Not sure what governs that.

Nothing respawns in an instanced location.

I didn't go into the vaults for a while... As I read from other posts, there is only "key fragments" now (instead of several differents keys)? So all chests in the vaults can deliver SPC jewells?

Hi @Griffe not quite. Now if you farm you only get key fragments.

But the old items convert to key fragments when you enter the vault. So if I have 60 bone shards and enter a vault they convert to a key. Or if I have 60 fragments same.

The vaults still give the same items - IC districts are 2 x willpower, 2 x agility 2 x endurance

Then ICP and WGT have their sets from this thread. So if you have a ton of the old items and enter WGT vault they will all convert to a WGT key
