Three things I would like to see as part of housing
I always prefer my MMO housing to have utility. I mean, decorating is OK but not really something that will engage me long term.
One thing I've thought they could do is include special crafting stations that let you craft any sets you have already unlocked by visiting the places where those sets are crafted. I'm forever forgetting and googling just where it is I need to travel to in order to craft a specific set - especially if it's a set that I don't craft often. Being able to craft them all in my home would be something I'd welcome.
Then there is the possibility of using your house instance as a shop. Not being able to sell your stuff in game efficiently is annoying. You need to be part of an elite trading guild that manages to bid successfully on a convenient high traffic location every week... and then you're limited to selling just 30 items or stacks at a time. Those guilds are also always at the 500 player guild limit so getting into a good one isn't all that easy. Making a house a place to buy the items from everyone who owns an instance of it would help with this tremendously.
And the third one for me would be a way to address the inadequate inventory and bank space limits. The crafting material bottomless bag that you get when you sub was a great relief for that when it was introduced. It was fun having lots of room in the bank while that lasted, But now once again, I'm having to manage my bank and mules way too much with the tenfold increase in unique dropped sets that are worth holding on to for different builds and purposes. Adding armor, weapon and jewelry storage to houses would be a great help in that regard.
Hope to hear more details about what they have in mind soon. So far we have been shown a lot of exteriors. some very nice ones, but few details.
