Sneak attack with noodles?

Hey, returning player here, last played 4 moths ago.
So, i noticed when i logged on my nihghtblade, that things dont die when i hit them with blades, sneak attack with crouch seems to do same damage as normal unstealthed attacks, especially with bow this deems prominent result of crouch sneak attacks now.
I am not talking of PVP here, as far as i am concerned, PVP can live its own life and damage needs to be balanced but as in PVE content, just doing quests, it feels wrong that whenh a big knife is stabbed to somebodys back, they just stun for few secs and then the normal fight continues.
Before these backstabs from crouch felt realistic in a way that you did not need many strikes toi finish an opponent NPC but now it feels stabbing a bigf blade to somebodys back is just a minor inconvenience to them instead of serious injury to ones health.
What has changed? I am 80%stamina and rest is magicka, have purple quality equipment with powerful enchants on weapons for extra damage. Every item is my level equivalent.

✭Try hitting the opponent from behind. Ambush, Surprise Attack, Heavy Bow Attacks from Stealth hit harder when you are positioned behind the target.0 -

✭Bpw heavy does exact same each time i test it from crouch or non crouched
The blades concern me more though as i used to love sneaking behind targte and just heavy attack them to hit hard then couple abilities->Dead opponent
