Lore book timeline inconsistency

Hi
Reading 'Varieties of Faith: The Khajiit'.

Quote:

"Rajhin (The Footpad):
Thief and trickster god, the Purring Liar, much beloved of Khajiiti storytellers. Rajhin grew up in the Black Kiergo section of Senchal. The most famous burglar in Elsweyr's history, Rajhin is said to have stolen a tattoo from the neck of Empress Kintyra as she slept."

But Empress Kintyra lives in the 3rd Era, she is the niece of Tiber Septim. She's not born yet! :) How do you explain this?

    Phenomenal thieving skills?

A lot of the 'classic' ES books have reappeared in ESO, some of which shouldn't have been written yet. It helps not to think to much about it, lol
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

Tales say that Gandranen was built by an Ayleid sorcerer, a worshiper of Hermaeus Mora who so loved books that she created a series of magical halls that would attract books from across Tamriel, no matter where—or when—they were published.

Some books are being pulled out of their appropriate time periods.

That's such a cop out on the part of developers too lazy to edit the books they imported from other games.

It's considerably better than editing the books themselves, which would result in retconning their publication date.

Or they could just not include them at all. It feels like nobody gave a damn about the books in this game. From having books about a 2nd Era dynasty in a 1st Era Crypt to books set later in the timeline--it feels like they just imported everything from previous games, threw it into half a dozen random lists, and called it a day. Hell, how long did it take them to get eidetic memory working? They still haven't give us a search function that can search book contents, making the whole system all but useless. What's the point of including several thousand books and notes when half have names like "Lost Journal" with zero indication of where I got it and what it contains?

It's a small thing to gripe about in a game that does so many things so right, but it's bugged me since beta. Love the game, love the books, hate the handling.

Agreed that the handling could have been better. Also agreed that it would probably have been better to not include 3rd Era books at all (although that would significantly reduce the number of available books).

you must understand, the lore in es is suppose to be less fact and more supposition. also rajhin is the scapegoat of any theft that one cannot comprehend how it was pulled off.
