in reality eyes tend to open on dead bodies, it's the relaxed muscle state..

TV shows just closed eyes because people are weak.

Most certainly it is usual for the eyes to be open if death it occurs when awake.

This one she is not sure about when asleep. If khajiit must work at night then she usually does not stay around long enough for anything more than a quick ruffle in the pockets.

By khajiit she means that Argonian ... that one over there.

Dead people also pee and poo because their intestines relax. Eyes open is normal unless you died in sleep I think.

Sometimes they are half open and that does look freaky but if they die in their sleep then the eyes are closed.

People often die with their eyes open. The whole "closing a dead person's eyes" like on TV doesn't work irl either - the muscles mean the eyes will shoot open again.

Strange fact - in real life, undertakers will place small "spikes" on the eyes to keep the eyelids shut for funerals etc.
