Just don't understand why ZOS can't get it right. $5k rig with super fast internet with all the graphics turned down to minimum settings and it means absolutely nothing with the poor coding used in this game or whatever the problem is.

✭We all know what the problem is...THE LIGHTENING PATCH. but ZOS is too proud to admit that. For almost 18 months now, we've been hearing that they are working on the fix, now they have even stopped saying that and letting us believe that we cant do anything and this is what you get. So rather than focusing on the issues in Cyrodill and making it a better experience for the veteran players, we'd rather have new and casual players pay us onetime money and then they can do whatever they want, stay or leave, we don't care.Urban.Monk

FWIW...I really think what many are calling "lag" is really the kill shot pause effect. This becomes greatly exaggerated when there are a lot of kills in close proximity at the same time by multiple players such as cyrodil keeps. Just saying. Thanks# JothanTheGreat

A short term solution, until the technical problems are resolved, would be to just reduce the max population of certain campaigns n force people to do others. I know that this is not an ideal solution because we all love big battles, but its better that it being unplayable yea?0

The cap has been reduced several times already. The root cause has never been fixed, and persists for 2 years now. Even a detailed description from a players point of view and a reproducable case didn't cause any reaction from ZOS. I don't expect a fix anymore. It doesn't have any priority for ZOS, or they don't have any idea what is going on or how to trace the issue (hint: send me a test client with advanced logging, and it will be easy to trace... or anything else you see appropriate...), or there isn't anybody working on fixes at all (notice all the skills / set bugs that don't get fixed either?)1 -

✭✭✭✭I messed around this weekend and cleared up a ton of lag and video stutter. I did several things but I think the biggest one is dropping my minimap for votans minimap and turning off combat loggers. I had noticed some sort of memory leak with other maps. The more you open the main map the more lag until eventually it lags everytime you open your main map.
Processor also relapsed to coolNquiet, so fixed that too. I went from 7fps in big battles to about 15 which is enough to play in at least.Edited by Armitas on November 28, 2016 5:54PMRetired.

Pleased things slightly better for you but can't do any of those things on PS4. Again had the frustrating feeling last night that my controller was malfunctioning as was pressing buttons but nothing was happening.....spoilt what was some rather fabulous fighting (for once).
Had to give up & go to bed. But not happy.1 -

✭✭I have been told that even on PS4 12 man trials you can help reduce lag by getting rid of pets, disabling damage/heal number displays, etc. Not sure if there is anything we can do to improve lag for PVP on the PS4.
There have been numerous times where I get lagged and dc'd in the middle of attacking or defending keeps when there are large numbers of players around. My only concern is whether I have/will receive my due number of AP and XP, but I will never know.
Sad that I just accept the lag and the dc as part of normal play on ESO.Australian on PS4 NA server.

outsideworld76✭✭✭Most people in the chat complain about lag issues. In PvE it's most of the time acceptable, but in PvP it's insane. Two seconds delay or total unreponsiveness is the rule. It's unbelievable Zenimax doesn't dovanything about it. It's like showing the middle finger to their customers.0
