I'm curious as to whether this has happened to anyone else and if there's a way to prevent it from happening in the future...

I purchased some "Boots of the Black Rose", which showed they were in the Daggerfall Covenant style in the tooltip, but are displaying in the Pact style when equipped. Though I play on EP, I really like the look of the DC heavy set. I purchased a chestplate and girdle in the DC style as well which oddly enough display fine when equipped. All 3 pieces were purchased in Mournhold - I don't understand how 2 could display fine but the other doesn't...really hoping I didn't just throw 15k down the toilet.
