So many rants, so many negatives on this forum and in-game chats about everything from getting kicked out from a group, from a trial, from a dungeon; from players "stealing" nodes from others; players talking trash to others; players thinking they are better than others; noobs shaming; players shaming other players on their builds, equipment, gear and weapons; guildmembers shaming other guildmembers if they can't finish a trial in minutes or in their perception not having the right weapons or build for a trial or dungeon. So many players seemingly making this game seem like it's a job. Yes, it is human nature to want to retaliate when feeling rejected or talked down to, but this is just a game. So what, you are having trouble getting through vMA. So what you don't have a flawless conqueror title. So what you don't have the best build. Congrats to those who can beat vMA in their sleep. Congrats to those groups who can complete the hardest mode on vet dungeons and trials, but it's ok, if you're the ones who cannot. So what you have been kicked from a group. So what someone is taking a node from right under you. So what it is taking an hour to finish a trial or dungeon. It's just a game. It is not a job. There are still good people playing this game. You can still find a good group of team players to run around with. It may take time to find or be in a good group. So, in the meantime, just have fun playing this game, and just stay away and ignore negative and toxic players.

Ranting on the forum doesnt necessarily mean not having fun in the game.

I love ESO it has given me many great moments and im still enjoying the majority of my time in it.
for things to improve they need feedback from their players which is what this forum is for imo.

Sure it's just a game, but it's also an MMO, full of grinding, farming, random loot, etc, etc. People don't want to waste their time getting kicked from dungeons, or being in groups with less than skillful players who can barely kill trash mobs. Time is precious, so I understand their ranting.
Node thieves are annoying, and I don't really have to explain why. It's just common courtesy to leave a node be if you see someone going for it, or fighting mobs to try and get to it. Some people spend a majority of their day harvesting, and node thieves that swoop in waste their time.
Basically that's what it all comes down to: time. You want to enjoy this game as much as you can, but you can't when others hold you back, or take what isn't theirs.
I respect your sentiment, but you're obviously not a hardcore MMO player.

It's happens every time they get lax on fixes . Trust me , no wakes up and says "Hey , I just want to rant about ESO today!" Everyone would much rather be playing but things are pretty broken unless you just avoid combat . That's kind of hard here .

My idea of fun does NOT involve 10 proc sets going off on me within 2 seconds of each other in PvP, killing me instantly. So since I can't enjoy the part of the game that I used to find fun, I'm forced to either run the same BS that ruined PvP in the 1st place or grind mindlessly in PvE the same content that I've already cleared 100 times over.

    I miss PvP.

The game isn't fun when group content is a mess with a difficulty spike the size of the empire state building, requiring people to slot entirely different abilities they would never know because the game -never- reccomends anything.

ZOS has done their best to muddle design and make things -unfun-.

This patch and the next will determin what I play. Group content, or solo content. the ballance update is what I am waiting for, whether or not they overhaul the game to the point where it can support harder content by giving newbies the tools to build for it, or whether or not they backtrack and try to retain the casual audience. (I hope to god the latter.)

As I respect you for yours. I openly confess that I don't understand what a "hardcore mmo player" is? How does one go about earning that title? No disparaging condescension intended as I am sincerely interested and would appreciate an understanding of the credentialing prerequisite to acceptable forum participation.
    Thanks in advance.

hardcore player? that's easy..... you have to be the best, whatever that means. you have to win, whatever that means.

and if someone beats you to the best or to the win then you come on the forums and whine about how unfair it is and how the person who beat you is too op and should be nerfed.

Huge fan of the game. met with disappointment by zos'es lack to get things fixed in a timely manner, not hard enough on cheaters or exploiters, an the list could go on.

It is just a game but gaming is hobby for me, and I would love to see the game kept up better making a better environment for the players to enjoy and have fun in, I know fun is subjective, I am talking about the base things in the game that affect everyone.

It is a shame that we do have so many nasty folks in zone chat trying to bully other players and a new player can't even ask a question with out getting flamed, there are still some very helpful people in game, but they are getting over shadowed by the a,,hats.

Would be nice to respect the other players we are here to play a game we enjoy and share the experience. :)

A few days ago, I was running around resource farming and jumped in front of another player because I just didn't see them. Well, I don't roll that way and I felt pretty bad about it. So, I chased them down, got their name and emailed the iron I had collected with an apology.
The player emailed me back and was surprised by the courtesy. It cost me time and resources but was tremendously satisfying.
Kindness and fair play. Perhaps that is what the OP is grieving.

People who think this is not just a game mmorpg or not may not have an idea how truly much of a struggle real life can be for many.

Just saying mmorpg or not it is still just a game and should always be treated as one, if you do not then you are really taking something seriously that should not be and only hurting yourself.

By this do you mean to imply you can be relaxed and tolerant, OR a "hardcore" player, but not both?
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

The "it's just a game" sentiment really pisses me off.

Yeah it's a game, a game I invest 90% of my relax time at home playing, a game I have a passion for. It's also a game I pay for.

We the playerbase are at the mercy of the games developers when it comes to seeing things fixed and improved. Right now the game is in one of the worst states I've seen it and the moderators on these forums are being quieter than a fart in outer space.

We have a right to get upset when we invest so much into a game and have to wait 4 months to get it fixed.

Ahhh, yes.. hardcore players, no I'm not, nor do I wish to be. I'm close to 700 CP; just portraying how long I've been playing and "enjoying the game." I believe I have experienced pretty much all that ESO have to offer thus far.

This is not anyway to undermine any hardcore or dedicated gamers and super fans of ESO, nor was my post a rant. It is mere expression hoping to bring light and some positives to some aspects many are frustrated with; such as being kicked out from a group or others taking nodes right from under them, among other things. I'm only saying that there is real life outside of this game, and not to sweat over trivial things as someone taking nodes from you or bashing you if you're not playing to their specification. Good for you, those who consider yourself as top players. Go all out and be all hardcore you want, but for the rest of us, it's ok, go about enjoying the game, without needing to compete to have your name on the leader's board or conquer every vet events as the fastest group or team.

"This is just a game." Sorry to say this again, and sorry that some are pissed off because "this is just a game" is being said over and over again. It is because it is. I come to put on this game (among other good games) sometimes during the week to unwind after a long day at work or on the weekends on my downtime in between watching bikinis at the beaches and hanging out with my good friends with a good dinner and brews. That's why "it is just a game." Real life is happening just right outside of your PC or consoles.

Rantings and submitting negativity post is a cry out for help... To express their disagreements. Why is that a bad thing? If anything ZOS is failing to respond to their players.

Do you guys expect all positive and great reviews about ESO on this forum? If so you're living in dream world. This game has flaws and it should be rightfully exposed.

So far ZOS is doing a terrible job replying back on their own OFFICIAL forums.
