Between co-ordinated blobs with eye of flame and the crap I posted above, PVP is utter garbage. All we've heard from you is "we have an idea what we're planning to do with proc sets", and that's it. How is it OK to leave this in the game as they are?
Infernal Guardian is pulling people out of stealth and going through walls, which it has done since the beginning, yet no word on that. The destro ulti melts your face off, even if you're only standing in it for a short period of time.
So much is wrong with PVP right now - just look at all the threads. Your silence is testament to how little you give a ***. This is, without a doubt, the worst company I've ever seen run an MMO, and believe me, there have been some bad ones. So yeah, congratulations.
Can you please ban my game account so I'm not tempted to return to this steaming turd you call PVP? What a piece of ***.

Hehe @Alucardo strikes again, and I thought I was belligerent.

But I agree with everything you said.

I used to think Dice was horrific to their playerbase for the BF games, but at least they try to balance things, and their games get better after a year of huge patches.

IMO, ZoS do a lot of good things, (eventually) but I still think they actually strive to *** off as much of their playerbase as possible.

I think the best part of this whole thing is the silence. Then they going to blame it on holiday season with more silence. After that we'll get all the people in their safe space telling us they are silent because they have a life outside work.

When we asked you to stop doing balance patches every week ZOS we never imagined it to turn into balance 4 times a year. You're only as good as your last job and this is atrocious.

I've retired my Viper/Veli/Red Mountain to smashing PVE mobs when I'm farming. I can't run that cheese with a straight face. I don't know why Zos never ever fixed Flanking, or Viper...or the other crap that's bugged. Guess you gotta be doing 100k damage like that Salvation set to get Zos to call to action

We will have to wait and see what the next patch will do. I can imagine if ZOS did anything to these sets to make them under perform only in pvp, would be interesting to see how many people whine in the forums.

rofl funny how so many people focus on a symptom and not the problem, the problem with pvp isnt pvp or anything, its the lack of soft/hard caps and animation cancelling. soft/hard caps create build diversity. hence why you see after the first couple months when they got over 90% of the issues ironed out, pvp was balanced as much as any game can be balanced. want game fixed? get zos to reintro soft caps and hard caps. and animation cancelling creates problems by removing the number 1 player interaction requirment of a balanced pvp game, for every action, there must be a viable reaction. i.e. when that 2hand heavy armor sword man busts into you with critical charge then swings into a wrecking blow, you should have a visible tell of him pulling back his weapon into the wrecking blow allowing you that 1s of time to interrupt/block the attack.

This is entirely a L2P issue. Even your hints are imo enough to help you if you could L2P....

Also:

My assumption is that your lack of fun is actually derived from your failure to slot Sparks. It's a really strong skill.

The day you slot Sparks is the day Cyrodiil will get better for you again. Guaranteed!

(for those who don't understand sarcasm, this is my way of confirming that PvP is a disgusting mess and is almost unrevivable at this point)

13. MY Favourite game in a longtime. Now being systematically destroyed.... mainly by ZENIMAX's incompentence, lack of empathy, lies, greed, and so forth.

Lastly, I apologize for this outburst, for my conduct here..... should it violate any terms of service or agreement. However, I FEEL/BELIEVE that ZENIMAX IS IN VIOLATION of its own agreements, therefore making it Nil and void. I have proof.

OP is right, as a returning player starting out from scratch on a new platform, PVP has changed a lot. It's all about pressing the attack button and letting your hat or your pants kill the enemy. Even when defending, some players just keep on attacking because they rely on Lady Luck to step in and solve the problem, which she often does. The proc set damage is delivered in an instant, and most of the time the victim will get no visual cue so he'll have no chance to counter it, he simply just gets melted. I understand that the proc sets might be the "noob tube" of ESO, something introduced to make PVP more easy to access for newbie players, but it sucks all the fun and any notion of skill out of the game. One of the worst design decisions in any game, ever. If it's not the intention that these sets should near single-handedly kill people in PVP, I don't understand why they didn't give them a higher chance to proc but substantially lower damage, that way the victim of these sets will at least have a chance to deal with it, and for PVE the total DPS could be higher (more procs at lower damage), making the sets "better" than what is now. It's the randomly added burst that is the problem.

I'm sick and tired of getting killed by articles of clothing, I might as well go play snakes-and-ladders with my 4-year old niece if I wanted to play a random game of chance.

This is a typical death recap on PS4. Around 2/3 of my death recaps look like this, it is ridiculous and the complete opposite of concepts such as 'fun' and 'challenging'. It's turning into a kiddies' game where you just roll a dice and declare a random winner.

Why balance PvP, which involves looking at numbers, when you can just duplicate an existing cash-shop item with bigger stats 'n' a bigger cost?

The former costs money.
The latter makes money.

Ergo, the core game must never be touched, and we must have all manner of incremental +% exp scrolls.

I've only one proc, and it's that Red Mountain one. Seemed the least bugged, since it's 10% chance on hit, rather than 100% chance every second like viper. And even then, 10% every 2 seconds is way too much when it deals >8k damage.

These procs should only deal 1k damage tops, with a minimum cooldown of 10 seconds, like we see with that 2-trait set. It's a completely free skill with no animation. By nature, it should just be a nice wee boost in the thick of things, not something you'd throw at Crom, to knock him off his mountain with.

Well.... The former costs money at first but builds a large and loyal playerbase, whereas the latter makes money at first but then loses most everyone and makes the playerbase extremely toxic and unstable.

ZOS hasn't chosen either path yet, but are straying toward the latter, minus the profit. They're just ruining it for themselves and idk why. Stupidity at its finest.

Just wanna point out that if Elder Scrolls Online wasn't an "Elder Scrolls" game, it would've died out very, very quickly. The franchise name and lore is carrying them. Only ZOS can STILL find a way to ruin it for themselves.

Hope is absolutely not lost. ESO can only die out from pure sabotage within. This game was destined for success. To bad that if a competant company developed it, there would be more players than at launch, rather than significantly less.

I agree @Alucardo . All my time playing this game and I'm still taken aback by the sheet amount of time it takes ZOS to address issues that come up in game, especially concerning PVP. Someone figures out a way to farm some nodes faster than they are supposed to and there's an official statement with the servers coming down for emergency maintenance. Things are broken and being intentionally exploited in Cyro for months (*coughvipercough*) with no fix on the horizon. Players know that ZOS is slow to bring balance or fix exploits in PVP, so they simply choose to embrace it. Thus we end up with PVP in it's current state...
