Speculation for this future "Oblivion War"

I'm sorry, but I just LOVE to fantasize and hypothesize about things.

What we know so far. Meridia and other sources have hinted and warned about a future conflict between the Daedric Princes. Meridia is obviously one such Prince that doesn't necessarily want to upset the status quo of the Mundus, while others like Molag Bal, Boethiah, and Mephala don't give a damn about Mortals and our well being. And since Meridia likened all this to as a game of Chess, where you either relent yourself to being a Pawn or learn to be a Player, it makes me think that the forces of Nirn could be conscripted into an informal Alliance with one of the Daedric Princes (most likely Meridia) to battle the others. Golden Saints which (I believe anyway..) are the Dremora that serve Meridia, barely make much of an appearance in game so far with only few sightings like the World Boss in Stonefalls and that one we fight in the Fighter's Guild questline. Perhaps they will be in a larger role in this future story arc? Men and Mer fighting alongside an army of Golden Saints?

I can just see the trailer now. The three Alliances in Cyrodiil still battling it out only to be interrupted by Daedric portals spawning Mephalas Spider Daedra and other nasties everywhere. And when a Covenant, Pact, or Dominion Knight is about to be Spider brunch, new portals spawn in a bunch of Golden Saints that nonchalantly push the Mortal aside and go all Braveheart on Mephala's servants.

Feel free to make fun of me and my nerdgasm.

Well, my friend, if you ever finish the Orsinium questline after the whole main story, the Prophet will appear and tell you that several Daedric princes have taken notice of your endeavors, and that there's more to come, including the Clockwork City!

I did (finally..) finish Orsinium and saw the Prophet. So much lead in to another Story DLC we barely know anything about besides the where and very little what.

So I guess my post still stands, just replace the Saints with Aurorans. Actually doing some reading on the Wikis Saints are actually incredibly hot headed and hostile, and instead the Dark Seducers are the more patient and tolerant Dremora when it comes to dealing with Mortals. There wasn't much info on the Aurorans and their demeanor, but since they're the servants of Meridia, and Meridia is a major player then perhaps we'll see more of them.

I've more so been into Science Fiction Fantasy, such as Ender's Game and this really good novel Schism, which is part of a saga.

very cool B)..it's a little dated now, but, 'the moon is a harsh mistress' is fave book all time, asimov and clarke are also well represented on some bookshelves :)...

one of the things I enjoyed most about skyrim and now with eso are the beautifully rendered environments and creatures...while totally foreign and fantastical, they're also very familiar from a lot of different stories I've read - which definitely helps with the whole immersion thing...

One of the main reasons I love to play Elder Scrolls is the Khajiit. Anthropomorphic Animals are fascinating and I like to imagine how different their culture and societies would be just from the influence of their differing species alone.

Meridia defeats the Daedric forces by pretending to be a tour guide and kills them with a sparse exposition along an infinitely long walking tour path so that they forget they're even playing "the game" and just want it all to end, all because they were clicking through the dialogue and forgot to tell her "I've heard this all before."

Part of me keeps toying with the idea that there are forces beyond Oblivion that even the Princes worry about, and that's why Molag Bal keeps making remarks along the lines of 'these mortals are strong, but not strong enough' after beating a Dolmen. Realistically he's probably just referring to his rivals among the Princes with that, if for no other reason than there's quite a bit going on unexplored with the existing sets of major powers so we don't really need more. Also Botheiah is an enemy/rival of his and he'd probably want us to beat him/her off if he can't have Nirn himself. I do wonder if we're going to end up teaming up with him as a result though.
