Hey guys,

Has anyone used a similar build for a magicka DK and can give me advice on how to improve it dps wise:

5 elegance
5 aether
Sharpened vma lightning staff and Sharpened vma Resto.
Sitting at 2.8k spell damage and 40800 magicka.
Race: High elf
Bars:

Dampen magic, eruption (to be substituted), blockade, molten armaments, inner light
Ultimate: shooting star

Resto staff bar:

Engulfing flames, healing ward, rapid regen, burning embers, inner light

Ultimate: Shooting star

I use exactly the same build on my magsorc and it excels at many situations and deals great dps (28k single target and full aoe damage). Somehow, the dps on my mag dk is not at all on par with that, despite of molten armaments I can't get past 18k single target. Without liquid lightning, you lose a very strong ground aoe, I tried using eruption instead of that for the dk, but the damage is a lot lower. The 2 to 3 k magicka shouldn't be the reason for that much of a dps difference.

Any help is appreciated, and I don't want to hear grothdarr or burning spellweave

I know that a vma inferno would boost the damage, but I wanna use this for vma and getting past the resto staff is hard in there.
