if it's PvE you go with good old Julianos (craftable no farming set necessary) or Mother's Sorrow for the crit

and if you find you have magicka sustain problems you can also go with Lich or Warlock

if you have a fire stick you could try my old friend Bernie Spellweave :)

Or Queen's Elegance / Elegant if your sorcerer uses Overload often.

I wouldn't recommend Lich though, since imho sorcerers using destro staff usually have no issues with magicka and already have high regen.

I'd suggest some heavy armor(Eg Rattlecage since it buffs u for spell dmg and makes u less frail) unless u want to get 1hkod.
It's hard to sometimes time your ward unless you have massive magic regen.
I'd rather be a sustain sorc rather than a glass cannon.

That is not true. If you dont have either Seducer/Warlock or all jewlery enchants in regen/reduce cost, you will have a lot sustain problems. So, why use any of that when Lich+all weap enchants is much better option.

can confirm it works well with both the above... but that's on a magplar.

Obviously half the people in this thread are talking about different things. In PvE and in PvP things will be different.

PvE: Spinner is trash. 5 Burning Spellweave, TBS, Mother's Sorrow, Julianos or Scathing Mage + 4 Infallible Aether or Moondancer + 2 Ilambris is the way to go.

PvP: Spinner is good against anyone that doesn't have a shield. In PvP, it is possible to sustain with barely 900 recovery, but its hard and not everyone likes the play style, so go for a sustain set. The Lich is the best. Then you can also run a monster set.

I used to run DW with 900 recovery in PvP and I was doing just fine (52k magicka though without pets). So what you're saying isn't a fact, its an false assumption. With a destro staff its even easier to sustain with real low recovery. + In PvE everyone runs with literally 0 sustain and they can DPS through a 5+ minute fight no problem. So yeah.

OP please state if you want help with gear sets for PvP or PvE. It will make the thread much cleared and easier to understand for you. :)

It's not as simple as what's the best to pair it with, their are lots of variables which can change what is optimal for you to use.

Give some more info, Destro/DW? Abilities? PvE/PvP all make a difference

@IzakiBrotheSs , still not sure how you managed with that low recovery before, if I could manage I'd drop lich and go full offence
