Should housing have storage space? if so how much would you like?

Storage is a pain in the gold. How much space would you ideally like? I feel like skyrim we could have a minivault that keeps expanding with the more gold upgrades done. But that's my opinion. Hbu

however much I can fit into the house by tossing it into the home. I'd say that amount would be fine for my taste

I would go for a place in the house (a room, cellar for example), where there will be storage crates (like it was in Skyrim). You would be able to buy or even craft storage crates to increase the capacity of your vault. I would go for no limit vault.

I hope storage crates will be there and I also hope that they will be for in-game gold, not for real crown store money.

A limitless vault with a search engine attached to it so you can easily find one item in your immense stack of thousands. Bit like a treasure hall guarded by Smaug.

Some space for gear would be welcome. Leave mats to Craft Bags.

As much space as I want.

With all of the new mats, sets, items, etc.... It's time to make storage and organization issues a thing of the past. Why else have a house???

Not unlimited, and not something that you can access just anywhere, you have to return to your house to get the stuff, be it mats or all the shiny armour. That way it wouldn't render the crafting bag obsolete. But still, we need lots of space. I'm a collector and would love to keep all the gear and trophies and stolen items in my house.

I don't know... something like Skyrim in which you could stuff zillions of items in a chest that would take like 5 minutes to open then XD

I think they should keep it more practical and have common houshold containers for things.

A cupboard in the kitchen for provisionings(enough slots for 1 stack of every ingredient.)

An interactive garden for potions. (Again enough slots for 1 of each+ Areas where 5 select plants of the players choosing will actually regrow every 12 hours) (also butterflys, crawlers, squirrel and worms on 2 hour cycle for fisherman)

Wardrobe for clothing/ armor. (Enough for 8 sets[2 Weapons, 3 Jewelry, and all body slots], considering alt characters would share storage?)

Then a work shed with crafting stations with storage crates. (enough slots for 1 stack of all crafting materials)

And finally general storage in basement or attic with an extra 50 slots?

Of course the crown store applications for this are endless, but basic house should be enough for everything the player would naturally acquire just playing the game. Extra storage, decorations and stuff could be crafted or crown purchase.

Sadly I dont think I have enough gold for a house myself, but I am very excited for this update.

Chest for bulk like monster and drop sets. Mannequins to store some full sets for display or easy transfer. I would surely have put the old VR12 baby face set permanently on a mannequin.

Wolfgang's idea is nice, but IMHO still short but personally I would love a full featured armory like in Skyrim (well, modded, of course) so I could not only show off my hard worked motifs but also have a live preview in 360 degrees.

C'mon, last time I crafted my gear I spent like 500 materials just to get the "perfect" (read less stupidly ugly) combination of body parts.

Crafting. The higher your woodworking, the bigger (more slots) your chest can be. Perhaps something like 6 storage slots for every level. So essentially, at max woodworking, a chest can hold 60 items.
An added bonus would be allowing to craft different styles of chests with the motifs you've learned (ie: Mercenary, Dunmer, Nord, Hollowjack, etc)

Totally agree. Would love a place to put armour on show so can see the damn things. Also for weapons. So some sort of armoury would suffice.

Idk about how space needed tbh, all I want is some kind of armor display so I can collect sets like an addict and display them in my castle . :)

I would like to see something like mannequins with each one holding a full set of armor including jewelry. Maybe three of em for each character you have? With them you should be able to go into your house choose a mannequin and the armor on it and the armor you are wearing would switch. Basically a one button armor set change.

Other than armor storage and a practice dummy for testing rotations I see no reason I would want a house.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

Yuge amounts of space. The best space.

Joking aside, it needs to be pretty massive, yet balanced against the crafting bag as others have pointed out in this thread. Gear is the biggest issue I have and would love to see the ability to create sets in my wardrobe so that my characters can just put them on as easily as a costume. Tangentially related, it'd be nice if we could turn a full set of motif fragments into the book for that style to de-clutter inventory in general.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

It is a gold since as intended. This is not Skyrim and storage should not follow the same idea.

I expect you meant gold upgrade matts for upgrading storage.

They could add storage separate from the bank but it would not be crafted and cost gold currency like the bank does.

Could we PLEASE have some more details regarding player housing?

This is going to be pretty huge for ESO (and especially players like myself who hold on to all BiS set pieces they find) so a few early spoilers to keep the communtity happy would be awesome!
