First, I have to say today is my *** day. I Ran random vet dungeon several times, and got a lot of low CP guys, much more than before, very unusual. I guess cuz today is holiday, many ppl come back to ESO. That's good. However, running dungeon with low CP guys was not that good.

Today, I died so many many times in dungeon. At the first few runs, I didn't kick any low CP guy because I want to play nice in thanksgiving day. That was a big mistake. The most funny low CP guy I met is a fake tank. He is CP220+. Many ppl perhaps think it is not low CP. But, just me, it is low CP indeed. Never give CP300- a chance in Vet. We were in the vCOA2, at front of fire Titan. The fake tank jumped in. At the beginning, we didn't feel anything wrong until he opened the Overload. We were a lit bit surprised, but I thought maybe he wants to show us how to solo the Titan because I've seen some awesome SOC solo the Titan, very beautiful. However, In the fight, he got so many one shot die, and we noticed he has only 13K HP, and is a Vamp.

after beat the boss, we asked him. He said "I never say I am a tank. the game automatically assign me tank role." and "I don't eat food cuz I have good recovery." Oh my god! I guess he must be a kid playing his dad's character. However, we still kept him in the group, and beat the final boss, after countless die. But we didn't beat the hard mode. So, I lost a purple key.

At the last, I really suggest you guys, these days, kick the low CP guys at the beginning, no mercy, never and ever.

    Umm

you know you can 3 man Titan even 2 man ? what were the other two CP if they were 560 then whats the problem ? and if he was a sorc you could have asked if he has pets and use them as diversion to stand back and dps it sounds to me there were so many things you could have done instead of just been angry and from now on kicking low cp players.

however if he was stubborn ect i can understand your frustration but as i mentioned no need for kicking the rest of people

"By many i am seen as hero...as a savior of the Tamriel i will not stop until every Daedra every evil there is in Tamriel is vanquish by my hands..
However i do this for my own purpose to gain trust of mortals to worship me and to eliminate my competition i will not bend my knee to lead your army to serve you Molag Bal , i will simply just take it from you.."--- Forsaken Sin( Magica Sorc)

This is why this game is loosing people. Expecting every other person on this game to be exactly like them and then crying when that is not the case. I have been in dungeons also where people think it's a good idea to just keep going fight after fight with no recovery time and expect a healer to always have enough mana to heal. Or, hey this guy doesn't have 10000CP so we have to kick him. Or some of the group say hey we don't know this dungeon but the one guy who does just keeps running ahead without telling the others what is going on.

    Dang elitists!!

It's losing people because the game is validating people with these attitudes, making even dungeons require meta builds and setups. These people become a problem because you cant -discount- them.

Blame Update 12's scaling and health changes for this increase in zero tollerence policies. People were angry about the easy as sin dungeons before, but now this game actually -has- hard dungeons and it's creating a rift in the community wider than the grand canyon.

The fix is simple. Reverse the resistance and health changes as far as group content are concerned, but if they dont this mentality will become the norm and this game will be a ghosttown. ZOS isn't willing or able to teach to their standard and something has got to give, and fast.

after beat the boss, we asked him. He said "I never say I am a tank. the game automatically assign me tank role."

The reason I never use the group finder is because the game always automatically assigns me the healer role. Tank and even stam dds are assigned the healer role in every group I join, which has caused too many awkward situations. He was probably angry at being a dd and forced into tank role every time, just like how I get pissed off whenever I use the group finder only to be assigned as healer, having to leave group and waiting 15 minutes to be able to queue again.

You don't need any meta builds or high cp to complete (vet) dungeons. The only thing you need is some core understanding of the game mechanics and the will to cooperate with your group members. The latter is the reason for most failed runs. If you have someone in your group, who is used to run with experienced players but can't adjust his own character to play with less experienced players, this will cause problems.

The problem is if you wanna do it without spending a hour in there (Which you spend more time with this update anyway with the changes, something that has turned off -alot- of people) you follow the Meta. I know a bunch of people including a trial runner who just...wont run, anymore. Because they take too long.

The fact the dungeons have been cranked up is causing this problem, before it didn't matter so long as everyone kept to their side of the pool and did their jobs, cohesion was easier to manage due to low difficulty. Now we're just screwed because DPS A isn't pulling enough and rather than overhaul his entire gear and rotation we'd rather just kick him.

Now people know the alternative. The people who have been screeching for harder dungeons inherit a dead world where nobody does the content. I wonder if this is what they wished for, or if their as horrified as we are.

Lol! I was in BC2 with a pug today. There was this high CP guy, a pet sorc. The guy was just spaming crystal frags. On our questions (WTF?!) he reacted like:
    - M8, you do know that pets don't provide much dps, right?
    - Are we loosing here?
    - Kinda, we are lossing time. Why do you spam crystal frags?
    - Are we lossing here? You do you job, i do mine
On the last boss our conversation was:
    - I am the bubble buster
    - M8, please try to do some DPS
    - Don't teach me how to live, you do your job, i do mine
    - M8, try to DPS the Boss, pretty please
    - Are we lossing here?
(I've really lost it here, lol)
Needles to say, that our DPS charts looked like: 65% DPS done by me, 25% done by our HEALER and the rest was our tank =)

uhm.. you know you have to choose your role(s) yourself!?!
It sounds like you just have all three roles 'active', or at least healer+dd. No surprise the game almost always assigns the role that's missing in most groups (i.e. tank & healer). You have to uncheck that role if you're not willing or not capable of fulfilling it!

How can I agree so much with your sentiment and disagree so much with your conclusion?

I also had a crap day for Pugs, people queued for vet dungeons that hadn't run it on normal before, or have 8k DPS as a DPS, or have 13k health (not a sorc). I feel like the "kick people below 300 cp" conclusion however is hilariously wrong. I have cleared many vet dungeons with entire groups sub 300 CP, and failed to clear some where there were 3 500+ cp people. You can suck plenty and have lots of CP or be awesome with less.

I agree on the most extreme end, like vet Cradle etc, its unlikely someone with say 100 CP is going to do well even if they are awesome, but otherwise the issue is the power gap not forcing people to learn.

The normal dungeons are fall asleep easy unless you have 0 idea what you are doing, even with no CP. Okay, so what is next? there are a couple vet dungeons in the middle ground, but most have been cranked up like crazy and these people have 0 chance to learn.

When we're looking for people, we always write " No low levels please" in zone chat.
Though most people don't seem to understand, where low level ends.

I expect people with at least 400cp+ And that's already mercy.
Experience shows, that low CP players are rarely worth the trouble. Skill can't make up for the loss of DPS caused by CP passives.
I accept low levels as healers, as I find it's the least important role of all. (My boyfriend is a scrub, but he is my scrub, so I let him heal) But never as DDs.

That's exactly what I was wondering. Has the DPS queue gotten so long that people are being assigned to tank and heal roles just to get them into a group without having to wait three days regardless of their selections? If so, I can definitely see how that would cause some friction if the group is unable to adapt, which most min/max focused builds can't or, more accurately, won't.

When I am not tanking, I go as DD. Most of the times I do that is because we lack one player or I get bored tanking.
Low CP DD are most of the time not very reliable, at least from my experience. On the other hand, most of the so called "under leveled" tanks were just fine, both in normal and vet dungeons. I rarely do hard mode outside several groups from my guild so I would not be the one to comment on that.

The problem is not the low CP but the fact that your "Tank" didn't play his role. Don't kick the low CP guy, kick the fool who queues with wrong role and is incapable of team work. Although hard mode is not for low CP players. If you want to do hard mode form a group yourself. Don't use dungeon finder and punish low lvl people becouse you want to play hard content while the rest of them just want to have their daily xp.

This has zero to do with low level CP and all to do with the tank not knowing what to do and just not a tank basicly judging by his comments. I a tank and have seen enough high CP guys not knowing what to do. You can have 500+ CP without ever entering a dungeon, so CP level does not say a thing.

If you have someone in your group, who is used to run with experienced players but can't adjust his own character to play with less experienced players, this will cause problems.
These are the two main problems IMO. I believe this is because the vast majority of the content in the game is *extremely* easy to complete solo. Therefore, most players do not learn the mechanics or how to work within a group.

The ESO group finder needs to put new players into a newbie queue by default and allow experienced players to choose to mentor them. It's unfair to everyone to throw them into the fire. Keys are a grind and experienced players, understandably, want to complete content ASAP.

Nerfing vet dungeons is not the answer. Gah. Normal dungeons are already very easy for players who do not wish to learn the mechanics.

Ran vet Selene's Hard mode with @MissBizz , a guild mate and a PUG healer that was CP99. No wipes. If you were in my group OP, I'd kick you for being an ass. As for the whole "game assigning the role", the only role it auto assigns is DPS. You need to manually change it so that tank was pretty bad anyway. It's no CP that's the issue, it's the players that think CP is the issue.

It's not the cp it's the fake tank where the problem is.
You don't queue for a role you cannot fulfill in PUG. Not even for normal runs, especially not for veteran where tanking is more critical. I always go for the kick regardless of cp.

I know that lot of dungeons can be done without a tank but it's for the group to decide not for a cheeky individual trying to jump queue. The bare minimum is to be able to taunt and survive the boss mechanics. Or at least ask the group before starting if they are all right.
