Selling Potions or Flowers?

So yeah, I've spent all the money I had saved up from running trials before 1T. Only have like 200k left. Was wondering whether it is more profitable to sell the flowers or the potions.
The buy cheap, sell high thing is happening slowly for me ATM as I don't have too much time to play, so its pretty much 1 run of all guild traders per week. So yeah, I can't decide if its better to sell all those hoards of columbines or if I should craft some tri-pots and sell those. Help is appreciated!
TBH can't wait until console gets those Alchemy Satchels, I'll finally spend all those Tel Vars LOL.

I prefer selling the pots if I already have the flowers from collecting them randomly.

With the Alchemy Satchels I think the prices of the flowers will decrease more than the prices of the poitions, but it is just my bet.

Since a big change is coming and this could mean big money for you, just wait a little. Or you can always put a few flowers and a few potions at different price ranges and see what sells faster.

So far on PC the alchemy satchels have resulted in prices dropping almost by 50% for some flowers and by about 30-40% for some potions. If you want to make money I'd suggest selling potions about 5% cheaper than market price to guarantee quick sales without space for others to flip them and to do so before the alchemy satchels hit.

Thanks guys, I'll stick to making stacks of tri-pots then to get myself a decent amount of gold before I go about guild stores buying cheap stuff and reselling it.

By the time Alchemy Satchels hit, I should be fine. At that point I'll need the pots for myself anyway. I don't think we've had any ETA on when the satchels will come though.

I always sell plants, not pots. They're more "universal", market's larger.

Say you have 100 columbines, which pots are you going to make ? Tri pots ? Immovability pots ? By selling flowers you appeal to both markets.
Also flowers are rated higher than pots because quite a few players don't look at opportunity costs and assume their pots had zero production costs "because they farmed it themselves". They end up selling the pots for less gold than the combined market value of their ingredients.

If columbine then sell columbine. If potions not involve columbine then sell potions.
If you don't have a good guild trader with high traffic area then sell flowers.
Sell potions only in top traders.
