So there have been a few design choices that would radically change this MMO in a bold and risky direction, breaking away from standard safe formulas. The Outlaw part 2 update was one such feature that sadly did not reach the light of day that would have completely changed this game in a very dramatic way. Another such feature would have been Spellcrafting, making classes less important and causing the most wild build variety at the cost of an impossibility to balance an already unbalanced game. These both would have been fun I think, but of the three I'm glad we got what we got with One Tamriel.
I mean, battle leveling the whole game? Allowing you to go anywhere and do anything from the start? Making content in all zones just as viable for gearing up and such while still offering incentive to do harder content like dungeons and such? This was an amazing risk that could have ended horribly but I think we can all agree by now that this has been a wonderful breath of life into this game. It just feels more like an Elder Scrolls game to me now, and I appreciate that as a fan since Morrowind.
What do you think? Do you like the features added in One Tamriel? Or would you rather one of the other two features, or all of the features, be implemented? Or none, that is if you hate fun.
