Why after morphing a skill is not raising anymore ?

Hello,

I play as a Imperial DragonKnight level 7 and I picked Puncture which I morph it in Pierce Armor. While Puncture 1 - 2 - 3 -4 were made pretty quick, the Pierce Armor 1 skill is not raising at all. Am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks

Skills level slower once morphed, as long as it is no your bar it will level eventually

Puncture takes approximately 4k XP total to get to Morph, and then 100k XP per Morph Rank, with 400k for Rank 3 to Rank 4.

Yeah, the skills raise very quickly until you get to morph point, then very, very slowly. Just keep at it, there is more then enough XP in your journey through Tamriel to max everything if you so choose. (Personally I only do all the class skills, two weapon lines, armor and world skills, and one guild line - that leaves a nice chunk of skill points left for other stuff even without having to get all worked up on grabbing those skill points...)

And the higher the skill level the longer it takes to level up the morph.

If you are only Level 7 I'd recomend taking it off you bar and choosing an new skill too get to the Morphing stage, try to get as many as you can to the morphing stage at low level as they won't really make to much difference to your dps at lowbie level and it more important to get skills to the morphing stage.

I guess that's because Vigor (and Proxy) were added later to the skill lines. I assume they didn't want to put us through a long grind to level those new skills to be able to use them.

    Thank you everyone for answers.
@Cherryblossom Do I get enough skill points during my journey to enable all the skills and passives in my skill screen ? Or I have a limited number of skill points and I have to choose wisely which one to enable ? Something like masters in league of legends.

    Thanks

@simiid At low level it is more difficult to manage your Skill points as you will not have so many, but as you progress you will have more than enough to do whatever you wish.
You can always reset the points at your main city temple, it's not so expensive when you only have a few.

@Cherryblossom 1. I understand. Thank you for your help. But if I unlock all skills and passives at some point, then isn't it possible to replace the active skills on my bar1 and bar2 ? Something like drag and drop or whatever it is the way of doing this. Why should I reset my skills points then ?

    2. And one more thing. To upgrade Pierce Armor 1 to 2 faster, which is binded to key 1 I have to spam it as much as possible, else it wouldn't level up only if I fight with basic attacks or using other skills. Right ?

    3. And another thing :) ... If I use One Hand and Shield with a sword and shield ... can't I use skills from two hands from example ? I mean what is the benefit to use only from one hand and shield skills ?

    @simiid

1.You can Change the skills by drag and drop as you suggest.

    2. Your skills level up just by being on the skill bar, it's possible to level a two handed weapon skill whilst using Sword and shield as long as it's on your skill bar (You won't be able to use the skill but it will level)
    3. see above, you can't use but it will level.

Your skill leveling is based upon Exp gained from all sources, so if you complete a quest it will add to your skills leveling, so one thing to remember before handing in a quest is do you have what you want to level on your skill bar!

You should also always wear at least one of each type of armour so these skill lines are also leveled.
