✭✭✭✭Yep, this whole complete silence thing is total nonsense. I have honestly never seen any other game developer do this. Might be some sort of dumb policy, I'm not sure. Can't tell me they literally have NOTHING they can show us at this point.
The public generally appreciate it when they get to see something new. Even if it is just a screenshot or a 20 second video. But that seems to be a marketing technique they are not willing to understand.
This constent lack of basic communication with the playerbase is also why people keep coming back with these "ZOS is a moneygrab" topics, eventhough they are not.
I'm an active subscriber, I pay 12,99 per month to you. It's been silent since the release of 1tamriel, which is 1 and a half month ago. I do not expect them to release new content already, but I do expect at least some small damn update on what I'm actually paying for. I know the content is going to be good, but god is it annoying to simply hear nothing at all, literally nothing at all for over a month.

Seems fairly standard for MMOs, and if anything advance plans are one of ZOS's strong points.
The absolute longest you'll have to wait is early January when they pen their annual "year ahead" blog post. We know there's a huge Vvardenfell update in the works along with player housing, so it's not like they don't have anything to show or talk about. I get that same feeling, especially on really well known bugs in-game that greatly affect gameplay (the "invisible player" bug that's been haunting groups for almost a year). Why is it so hard just to go "Hey, we know this is frustrating, but we're looking into it. Even then, I think a weekly screenshot/preview of upcoming content to build hype would be great. Here's an example of housing, the interface, a handful of craftable decorations, some armor, a new location screenshot. It doesn't have to be much. Just something.

We know its holiday season so half time at work.

I remember after one episode of ESO Live there was SO much complaining and harassing that one of the devs came onto the forum and tried to explain why they were giving out information.
I would LOVE to hear more about housing. Will there be a free house? A room at an inn? How crazy will they go with this?
But imagine they post an announcement and start a thread. What would happen next?
The first post in the thread will be about how awesome their idea is.
The next post will be about what's wrong with their idea.
Another post about what's wrong with their idea.
A post about how cool the housing looks.
There will be a post about how evil Zenimax is for selling housing in the crown store.

It is standard to not have official information a month or two ahead so this is very true, sadly in other mmorpgs I have played devs have gotten into the lets not release any information until the patch so they can pull fast ones on the community and no one can flood them with any truth objective things they should never change. I am so glad zen is a good company and does not pull crap like this, there is no reason to think ill of this situation especially compared to other mmorpgs I have played recently.0 -

✭It might be a month and a half since One Tamriel but there was The Witches Festival, Orsinium Anniversary, Free Play Weekends, an upcoming New Life Festival, various interviews with some details on player housing such as a free house/flat with a quest when the housing update comes up. So they probably need some time to cool off, work on the bugs, various new crashes etc (i hope) before they start announcing more housing/Vvanderfel updates.
I, for one, hope that housing update doesn't only contain houses, but also Vvanderfell as well. Because base updates are all cool and stuff but more new content with quests etc is what most people are looking for. Well I might be wrong but I guess it's about QA approving stuff in time and they can't announce content unless QA has said it's good to go otherwise they would just announce everything and then if they encountered a bug, could not deliver the content they promised , creating frustration for the players and so on. Maybe that's why it took them 1 year to get IC done i don't know.
