Maintenance for the week of April 6:

What % would prosperous have to increase to make you use it?

Or, alternately would you wear it if it affected the quality of drops? i.e. a small chance to get a legendary piece or better RNG for more desirable traits.

The new meta: all prosperous build for farming maelstrom in order to increase your percentage of that sharpened inferno...

Seven pieces, I'd say about 15-18% increase. If on all gear, then it'd be a little over doubling gold dropped by enemies.

If it increased the chances of higher quality drops, then still not really. That's only helpful for the rings/amulets really.

I still don't think I'd use it though. Gold is easier to come by in so many other forms.

it could increase it by all the %, it just doesn't make sense. You can make 10k a day stealing crap in 20 minutes, why waste gear?
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

Only if prosperous armor would guarantee no training/prosperous/charged drops, and no mismatched weapons (bows of spell power cure, staves of alcosh ets).
Otherwise... Even 100% extra gold from enemies doesnt change anything. Ok, 6 gold would become 12 gold, but in a game where one potion costs ~200 gold its not worth it.

This should give a chance to drop a 2d item on bosses.

Imho, it's the only way to make people use it in dungeons.

Only increase its value will only encourage grinding.
Make it also affect quest rewards will make people swap stuff on turn in.

Increase gold gain by 2x and I would craft an entire trash set of Prosperous clothes and then go on a stealing/stabbing/looting spree in Anvil Castle...

For a leveled player in need of gold it would have to be a very high percent, maybe 100 or 200%, but for a new player looking to increase their income while leveling, maybe 50% might make a difference.

I do not think it has a place on dropped CP160 set items at all (nor does training), it is only there to annoy us.

If each piece of prosperous increased your chance of divines on armor and sharpened on weapons, I'd wear it all the time while farming. You'd have to work in some sort of system that would keep you from just swapping it in before looting, but something like that would make me wear it for farming purposes.

They would have to change it so that it increases the amount of gold you get from selling items to merchants and not the amount of gold dropped from enemies for me to ever use it.

Have prosperous give the gold plus a % chance at a upgrading dropped items (similar to treasure hunter, even a percentage to gold item drops if you are wearing 7 legendary prosperous)

I'd use all gold Prosperous on all 7 armor slots if it made my toons fart Sheogorath's butterfly swarm particle fx animation. Otherwise it's pointless.

Prosperous would need to increase the amount amount of gold I find by 500%, increase the amount of money vendors give for items by 1000% AND double the amount of set drops I get from enemies/chests before i would even CONSIDER using it.

Sorry but gold flows so easily, not ever.

Gotta make it affect a meaningful acquisition.

How about it changes to grant keen eye and double non-survey node yield.

Or better yet scrap it for Perceptive and let it up detection... and another trait for better stealth.

    Same.

It'd have to be at least 200% before I would consider building a set to farm with.

pretty much, mean even if you were getting 150g per set of mobs, gold farming wouldnt be worth killing mobs for specifically. i would say it would need to be a 6000% increase for me to feel it would be worth making a set specifically to farm gold from kills.

    No change from today, but...

Proposal one: make Prosperous and Training exclusive to crafting. Maybe for normal dungeons/trials but definitely not veteran.

Proposal two: leave it as is, it is great! Just make drops BoE again so we can spend all that hard earned gold on things we actually want.

Yes! Crafting has sort of lost a lot of its benefits in OT and having some crafting only traits (other than Nirnhoned) would be good, assuming those traits are desired and useful.

I would say for Prosperous to be useful it has to increase gold from *all* sources, not just mobs. You can play around with exactly how much for various types of gold sources but for a full set of Prosperous I was thinking something like:
    • +100% from mobs
    • +10% from selling from vendors
    • -10% from buying from vendors (not guild stores)
    • +50% from quests
    • +25% from stealing

Moving training to only "trainee" and crafting is a great idea
Prosperous should only come from quest rewards and crafting.

Prosperous should have a % chance to double material nodes as well, stacks with Plentiful Harvest
