Woodworking writs stuck on yew

My level 44 character is on level 6 woodworking but all of her writs are asking for yew. She can only farm hickory and birch, so this makes doing writs next to impossible. I can't even find yew in Guild stores. I also tried porting into Craglorn and picking writs up there, but that didn'the help either. I'very picked writs up all over and they're all for yew. Do I just have to wait until she catches up to her crafting level?

✭Yew is dropped from level 46-50 and has always been hard to obtain. I expect you are experiencing an issue associated with One Tamriel. Previously it was not possible for characters pre-level 50 to obtain Birch because it would require access to Cadwell's Silver zones, so Writs were locked to a maximum of tier 5, regardless of the character's crafting tier.
You could either wait until your character reaches level 46 before doing Woodworking writs again, or respec all of your skill points to remove levels from your Woodworking skill. I would simply wait though, you could gain those extra 2 levels in a couple of hours of ordinary play.Guildmaster of the UESP Guild on the North American PC/Mac Server 2350+ CP & also found on the European PC/Mac Server 1700+ CP
