Free 1T Levelling guide??

2ndcovenant_ESO
Hi folks,

I am about to create a new character to try something new. My main character made it to cp150 and Caldwell Silver before one tamriel went live.

Is there a guide, or path, that someone might suggest to get a new character to cp levels pretty quickly?

With one Tamriel, is it true that all quests and kills give max experience? In that case a levelling guide wouldn't do much good... just quest and kill and you will level up fast. I have great crafted gear to use, with the training trait on all. I also have some crown xp scrolls but I want to save those for my highest cp levels.

Is Caldwell Silver and Gold still active anymore??? Since we can do any quest any time.

You either can quest if you have not done all of the alliances yet (which I recommed)

or here you have a grindguide where i explain basics + spots where you can grind.

Thanks again for the Guide! I was just in Old Orsinium at level 5 and leveled up to 6 by the time I reached the area that you mentioned there. The mobs are all ridiculously easy and I would have solo'd all of the bosses but another DK was there with me, following the same path. We tore through mobs like tissue paper but I had to go to work lol.

Pretty much any of the spots that were good pre 1t are good now for grinding and you dont even have to move spots. I would also add that while it might not be the fastest way doing random AF dungeons lets you get a few skill points a long the way plus bonus xp. If you are a tank or healer ques are nearly instant if you are dps then just que while grinding.

    Hi Kessik,

That's a good idea. I followed most of Alcast's advice (I didn't have anyone wanting to join me to grind in Old Orsinium). I solo'd the map area with my Vampire High Elf MagSorc. I started out at around cp260 and after a little less than two hours I am cp272. I have a mod that tells me how long until I level if I only grind mobs and it tells me how many mobs I have to kill to level up again. I honestly went from 368 mobs to 68 mobs in about 15 minutes. Using Crown XP Scrolls makes each mob worth more so each kill acts like 3 or 4 kills on the mod. Basically I am leveling about a little less than every 20 minutes. Sometimes it's a little faster. Before the grinding, I was levelling via questing about once every 45 minutes to an hour. Higher cp than 160 = longer time to level. It sometimes felt like forever.

I created a new stamblade though in AD and took him to the Goblin Cave in Auridon at level 4 and he levelled to 10 in around 15 minutes. So you are very right. As long as you can find a delve or dungeon where you can take down a decent number of mobs without being overwhelmed, you can grind pretty fast now that every mob is battle leveled to your level.

In truth, since I am a vampire who went in soloing to Old Orsinium, the higher my cp rank, the easier it is for fire casting mobs to kill me. There are typically two fire casting Hagravens (with a deadly firebird spell in addition to their other fire spells) as well as Winterborn Mages that only cast fire spells (sometimes two of them) and archers all in one fight after another. The archers now hit for tons of damage and the human mages can cast a fire based root spell that is a pain to get out of. So if a mage roots, an archer volleys, and a hagraven casts its ground based fire dot, I can die pretty fast if I don't have my healing powers already in place and I am not focused on killing surrounding melee based mobs with daedric mines and drain essence along with putting power surge on and using Wall and Liquid Lightning on ranged mobs. There are often at least 5, usually more, mobs per fight there and adds can walk in on the battle from hallways. Also another player can run through the room as you go in and the mobs will chase them. If you don't wait for them to return, you csn find yourself swarmed by those mobs znd any new room you go into. A level 41 Templar did that to me and got me killed today. He just ran through several rooms, creating a mob train like in old Everquest, so that he could get to the boss room. By the time I res'd I helped him with the 3 bosses in that room that could have easily killed him considering that one is a healer, one a mage, and the other was a melee that hit's pretty hard. I took out the healer, prioritize people! (lol), and helped with the others. Part of that was I wanted loot too though. I looted a...,get this, Briarthorn Sharpened Greatsword with Magic Damage/Health Return Enchant from that fight. That was so worth it for one of my melee characters.

I grind to 30 then ask a few Guildies to run through every dungeon in normal. Takes a few hours but it's not as monotonous as grinding. It's not as quick however if youre talking about just 0 to 50, but it may be in the long run if you plan on getting those done anyway.

Riding for sky shards with a level 1 horse is by far the worst thing in this game.
