Good night guys!

I left this game after 2 month of it release. I like it the game and love the quest has voice. But reading some sites, they say that the game is dead, at the same time I see the forum full of posts of the same day. Is the game dead / low population? Btw even if the game is alive, do you recommend me to back? Thanks ^^

Nah not dead at all, infact it feels like it's growing in population at the moment. Unlike other mmos, ESO runs on a mega server meaning all the players are on that server and not sat on 1 of the 30 servers or 'worlds' that have a low pop cap.

At this moment in time, yes it's worth coming back. Theirs a lot for you to catch up on and the end game seems decent enough PvE wise but if it's PvP your after I'd honestly give this game a miss. Only other bad note I can add for PvE, if you don't like grinding loot then ESO defo isn't for you at the minute. It's a horrible, tedious grind at the moment but if your starting a fresh you won't see it for awhile

There's no subscription any more, why not log in and see for yourself?

But I can tell you it's definitely not dead. In fact since the 'One Tamriel' update came out and they released the Gold Edition I'm seeing a lot more new players around. Even the tutorial zone right at the beginning (which I think most established players skip) was busy last time I was there.

Game is not dead. Actually good you left the game that early in your situation. Dive right in, everything will be new to you, no need to relearn anything.

Might not be dead on PC but on xbox NA server i see less and less people in my guilds and around..

actually allot of people left due to no new fun content... VMSA lag and RNG , PVP procfest and LAG , BOP items which makes u run same dungeon and you have 1-641 chance in getting the item ...duels in city that makes u lag, allot have left guilds with trader due to not able to make increased payments as loss of sales as most of items are BOP , and also allot of people got upset with the 15 min wait for being kicked out due to low cp or not been up par with elites ect

Im still hanging on here but i do see less and less friends around..... i hope they will get new character classes new weapons spear ect, new 2 man content and remove BOP from most of the items.

I know i there is allot of good things with the game don't get me wrong but after playing from the first day and having that feeling of excitement slowly fade with all nerfs updates lag constant re doing dungeons just to get bad RNG .. it fads away im not sure if i am the only one that fell that way but i need something to reignite that felling.

Pvp is still good just very unbalanced and tedious when dealing with burst builds and some imbalance issues. That said Ts still fun when you get into large scale battles. It has gone downhill but still fun at times.i don't see the tug of war battles gaining and losing ground much anymore. Its usually one sided fights again still fun though.

Besides WoW this is probably the most populated B2P game... Easily as many as play GW2, probably more. And the population is stable, it doesn't seem to boom then drop like WoW or GW2.

Hope so. A year and a half ago it truly was a ghost town. Things started picking up after the Tamriel Unlimited rebranding and has been steadily growing ever since. Never seen the game so active as now (PC EU, can't speak for other servers/platforms).
There's loads of people even in the middle of the night. Here I was - hoping to get some quiet dolmen/dungeon farms at 3am... Yeah right a dozen people piled up on every dolmen and dungeon boss waiting for spawns. Back in the olden days, you wouldn't see such activity even during prime hours.

I don't mind though, in fact it makes me happy - it means the game is healthy and population is growing.
Despite the backwards things ZoS does - they have definitely worked hard to fix it or at least try, gotta give them credit for that.

Dead? Far from it... yeah, before "One Tamriel", some regions were sparsely populated which may at times have created this impression... now though? People all around, and more then enough places to enjoy.

And things are looking to get better with what is waiting in the wings... player housing, more regions as DLC...murkmire and vvardenfell have been talked about a while now...

ESO is definitely worth coming back for, I would say.

I have recently started playing again i quit after about 2 months of release myself. I started again as i wanted to learn all the basics again. I have 1 question about population though.. i have been trying to run lower level dungeons as that is what i have quests for. Example banished cells. But i have been sat in dungeon finder for over 2 hours. Is this purely down to people being at end game and not at the begging of the game or am i missing something ?

The game is far from dead, I have been playing MMO's for a long time now and have to say ESO keeps me playing and its getting better every time. Most of the time i get bored at some point but sofar with ESO not so much.

Imo its one of the best MMO's out there today. Just add housing and a gear outfitter (want to wear cool armor over my christmas tree) and its perfect :)

And with One Tamriel most zones are not empty anymore, cities have different instances.
