because its a massive aoe that follows the caster wherever they move,
so its not easy to avoid/dodge
should clarify not as easy to doge/avoid as other aoe's

✭Because now they can't just spam gap closers on you when you use it. There really was no good counter to all the stuns and proc sets, until magicka learned how to use this ultimate. Might I add it is not cheap to use either.
Soon though people will learn good ways to counter it and then people will be asking for that to be nerfed. There will always be something people will cry for Zos to nerf, currently it is eye of the storm.5 -

It's a great ultimate in PVE too.
It depends who's casting it . Some classes have stuns that go through block and can hold you in place while you cook . It can get pretty nasty with a Majika DK with petrify and talons .2 -

Yea that's a good strategy for the other morph not the one we are talking about which follows the caster.I can dodge roll than if its a magplar or magNB they just gap close me to and snares me while keeping the ultimate on me.Of its a magic sorc they just streak to CC me or keep up with me roll dodging and magdk just talons and petrify you and just let the ultimate kill you u.Thealteregoroman wrote: »Rohamad_Ali wrote: »Destro staff ultimate . No it is just more effective on those that have good CC . The ultimate itself needs to be compared with other weapon ultimates in order to determine if it's OP and I have not had the time to look into that . I'm still on the fence until I see some number crunching .0 -

I tend to agree on this one. Magicka may lack the burst stamina has, but has much better sustain, heals, AoE, utility. Most stamina sets people complain about are ganking sets like viper/widowmaker/velidreth's/tremor which are annoying, yes, but are more or less unnoticeable in group vs group play. But when someone casts EOTS, it is INSTANTLY noticeable and can/will change the outcome of the fight. No viper or tremor sets have anything on EOTS, it's not even comparable. ✭✭Biggest counter i've been using that works wonders is the nightblade ultimate Soul Siphon (its the other morph of soul shred). 10k burst heal with 30k HoT and gives Major Vitality to all effected for 4 seconds (cut in half in pvp).
I've saved quiet a few lifes with this ultimate and i'm using it on a stamina class to. If i use a Major Vaitality potion prior to using it and it crit's... i can basically negate a couple EotS's. It makes Vigor pretty good strong also since your giving your allies Major Vitality. All though against a destro ult train it doesn't fair so well. More people need to start using this ultimate.
Bombard is also still very nice. Immobilizing targets who are not snared and snaring destro trains is very strong. To bad i dont use a bow though.
