ESO plus only available on Steam??

Is the eso plus sale only available to those who own the game on steam? Why isn't this quite sizeable discount available to us who's owned the game since launch, and even pre-purchased it?

    I just had a look at the prices on the ESO website (I don't have or use Steam so I can't compare) and I'm seeing £8.99 for 30 days, £23.97 for 90 and £41.94 for 180 which I think are the normal prices. (Crown packs however are on sale right now.)

    It could be that Steam is having a sale, they do run their own periodically and can do it in just one region if they want to. (It might actually be simpler for them to do that than to run the same sale everywhere.)

    The other possibility is that it's a mistake. A while ago the official website was showing the 30 and 90 day packs at the normal prices and 180 as completely free, literally £0.00 and that was just a mistake. It does happen.

    What? For me it's half the price on steam compared to the website. I'm not on my computer right now but I'll post screenshots as soon as I get on it.

    and yeah, I agree. Half the price. But I don't understand.. How can I see this deal but the "cipe" who posted that other screenshot can't..? :neutral:

    Only explanation I can see is that Steam acts as a retailer and is free to apply whatever discount they see fit for their customers only. It would not be the first game where Steam has its own, exclusive discounts, which are offered to specific geographic zones / currencies.

    Yeah, I agree that makes sense. But in this case I just don't feel that is the case as eso has this free weekend and their twitter account is basically just advertising this none-stop. I just find the whole thing strange... And extremely annoying :/

    On the Steam DB page for that package it says it is 59.21% cheaper in your region than mine:

    So I am guessing it's most likely a pricing error, or a sale exclusive to some regions.

    Well that's strange o.O You'd think the sale would be everywhere now with the Free Weekend event they've got going.
