Warden's Leeching Shield - can you make him stfu?

For those of you who have used the Warden's leeching plate shield you probably know what I mean. He constantly yaps in my ear which is seriously annoying. When it first happened I thought it was pretty cool. Then after 3 hours I was just pretty over it. I thought it would have just played out when you first equipped it, but he won't shut up. Can you turn that off, or will I need to go farm another normal shield from ICP?

    It makes me laugh. It's not like it constantly talks, and usually i can barely hear it over the fight and voice comms anyway. But when i do catch his indignant little taunting, it usually makes me lol.

    This doesn't bother me, what does though is Fighter/Mage guild advocates and there dedication in chasing me into helping them wherever I go lol

    One day I shall help them.

    Yeah, it's kind of like the lady at the wayshrine in Craglorn or the "clutch of butterflies" rant in Elden Root. This one is portable though, so the fun continues! That being said, how about Angier Stower makes a total "lenderbee" comeback as the new version of the portable banker pet? >:)

    I kinda like the shield talking to me. But regarding farming a normal one:
    As far as I know, if you want the leeching plate shield, that's the only one. Isn't it?
    My wife complains that I never listen to her. (Or something like that.)

    My ESO addons:
    Midnight - Find out when midnight is so that you can check for ww/vamp spawn.
    Goto - Adds a tab to the map pane allowing you to teleport to a friend, guildmate, or groupmate for free.

    I have the old Endurance version of this shield and my tank is still using it only becouse of the unique talking aspect :D It's the best part of this shield.

    I love this shield!

    Does anyone know if other shields (or maybe armor/weapons/jewelry) have a similar effect?

    Never found anything else like it.

    Heh yeah :p But I would also like a Med Infused helmet to perfect my Sap Tank (Med Divines without tri stat glyph atm) ;)

    Have most of Leeching Plate set ... including the shield and 2/3 of the jewelry. Did not know that and will have to try it out soon ...

    I agree its very annoying. I used to have it and once I figured out it was the shield talking I instantly deconned it.

    It's for real. I think it's just the shield - the one you get as a quest reward the first time you complete ICP. I'm trying to fight people in IC and all I can hear is *** like "A FUTILE ACT BY A FUTILE MORTAL", "HOW DARE YOU IMPRISON ME", "I WILL DESTROY YOUR MORTAL SHELL".
    Like, shut up already, you're a shield now. Deal with it.

    No, just the shield. I used the endurance version on another tank a while ago, and it's nice having it back on my leeching build. For me, he only talks every few minutes when using it, like when i switch to s&b, port to a new place, or something. It's definitely not constant though, there's a cooldown or something. I do think he sometimes mocks you if you die lol so I guess your mileage may vary. I kind of forget it's even there most of the time but it makes me giggle when I do hear him.

    haha ok glad i didn't decon mine, I gotta test this :D I used to get an old bug a long time ago that randomly in game, usually in dungeons, I would hear Kailstig the Axe shouting "UNDAUNTED!" randomly at me....I kinda miss that bug, it was amusing and oddly motivational :p
