Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Do you know what would cause me to purchase more motifs via the crown store?

How about a gold fee and a certain amount of style mats (style you want it to be) to make the change? Maybe even allow trait changes like that, but with trait stones?

This is an amazing idea, as it adds value to the tons of style stones laying around.

Maybe like 20-50 stones+a gold fee, OR a mimic stone. win/win.

I am so aggravated by the whole "I want to change it" thing.

    Deal. Pick. Make choices.

When I don't like "the look" of something, then I pick something else.

The problem is that every other MMO offers this kind of thing, and yet ESO does not. Even in an interview their developer mentions that the things they do are about giving the player "freedom" in the game. Well letting us dress ourselves however we want, WITHOUT crippling us on our gear is a huge freedom.

Link to developer on One Tamriel saying it is about freedom: Skip to 1:20

i'd rather have the learning of styles tied to research, i.e

when you put an item into research you learn the trait, however a 2nd option to the research function could be added to research the style used for that item category.

This would either get rid of need to have motifs in the droptable or add an extra option to learning styles that are currently don't have an obtainable motif for items such as dropped set pieces.

i have said it many times and ill say it again... we are forced to use ugly monster sets now, no matter how much i like to have some awesome looking helm and shoulders (a style that i like), im FORCED to equip some DISGUSTING monster set only because it have incredible stat and effect(otherwise ill be weaker than everyone)... this should change asap. let us change the appearance of these monster sets or just remove them from the game, or rework them somehow :)... ppl are crying that they are extremely unbalanced and rng anyways

Yes. You should be able to convert any piece of armor, including dropped sets to any style learned on the character.

Would give additional incentive to level a crafter.

Crafting cp 160 gear is expensive af and why bother when you can just grind for some. The only problem is the sets are ugly and don't match my monster helm or vice versa. I'd love to change burning spellweave into hollow jack for that fiery effect. I used to religiously collect motifs but now I don't bother with it since I never craft gear ever anymore because it's just not worth it.
