I know the idea of weapon dyeing has been rehashed a few times, and the average complaint against it is that you'd have people running around with unnaturally colored weapons.
Here is my proposal:
Allow us to dye our weapons in only the colors currently available for weapons.
As things are right now, each tier of materials does have a different color tint. Some styles show it more distinctly than others, but overall there is a vast difference between the look of an ebony tier weapon, a ruby tier weapon, and a calcinium tier weapon.
Examples below.
As dyes are currently tied to achievements, it would be interesting to see weapon dyes tied to crafting level in each profession. You want to be able to dye your weapons ruby red? Level a crafting profession to 50 and/or spend 10 skill points in your passives to unlock the dye permanently for your account.
Here are some visual examples from eso.mmo-fashion.com:
Orc Dagger:

(Calcinium)

(Dwarven)

(Ebon)

(Galatite)

(Orichalc)

(Quicksilver)

(Rubedite)

(Steel)

(Voidsteel)
Breton Staff:

(Nightwood)

(Ruby Ash)

(Mahogany)

(Ash)

(Birch)

(Yew)

(Beech)
