1200 crowns for broken garbage?! Thief Personality Rant

I don't get why it stands. Can't wrap my head around it.

This is actually a bug; you should stay crouched. We're working on getting it fixed!

Must have been VERY VERY difficult to have tested this before releasing and asking 1200 crowns for!

Not a big fan of the drunk personality, it is too much.

But it's perfect in combination with a polymorph such as one of the skeletons. :p

What about the heroic stance that ceases to do its running/walking animation when you swap weapon from idle?

And the assassin one, that plays way too much that frigging knife emote? It glitches with everything, even with the pickaxe when you attempt to mine a node.

Or any personality really, when you start running while a random emote is playing and your character runs around with his/her torso and legs moving in such an unnatural awkward way?

I hope so! I'm really excited for that one.

I liked the previous "not stealthy" personalities so I have high hopes for the duchess one too. And even if it is a little over the top like the Drunk one, the character that I plan to give it to is over the top herself so that's fine.

I would like to see it in the store for the same price as the Commander personality, however.

I'm nervous and excited for the December showcase. I'm nervouscited.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Do you think support might refund me on this then if I submitted a ticket? Not too keen on the idea of a permanent crouch.

When you are walking while crouching and then you stop, the character briefly stands up (but stays hidden). I believe that's the bug, not that you should stay permanently crouched.

Yeah it may be a bug but the animation entirely is absolutely... to be blunt, pathetic. I was expecting it to be somewhat how Assassin creed was but the current standard sneaking animation is way better.

The drunk personality seems all out. The sneak-stealth animation is lackluster, especially with the lack of emotes.

No it isn't, it's missing the drunk rider animations to people can know you're drunk off your horse when you ride by :(

Was not what I hoped they would make of it and therefore I didn't buy it today. Definitely not for 1200. For the drunk one I was willing to pay that. For this? Not in a million years.

Also the fact that this gets released KNOWING there is still a bug in there greatly annoys me.

Can't fault the communication on this one. Yes, the QA and overall development process maturity at this studio needs work but so does almost every studio in the industry.

I forget who said it but I've found it to be true, if dark:

The best you can hope for is a good apology.

And, to my mind, we got one. Let 'em fix it.

As for this whole emote script thing I'm not a fan. How can one purchase a personality after all? But folks clearly like it.

However, I would encourage EVERYONE to explore the over 170 emotes in this game, most of them employing top of the line motion capture. Then grab a good add-on, such as ESO Theater which lets you hotkey 10 emotes and just play with it.

It's one of the best features of this game, in my view.

i'm hoping they touch it up abit, because tbh i'v supported many of the cosmetics thus far but this one feels like one of those "see how little we can do to get the same income" sort of grabs, not cool, was gunna grab a sneaky type one for my alt but from what i'v seen it only changes the sneak, would have been fine at 500 or 700 crowns but 1200 is overkill

and yes i understand there was a sale but that just means everything could cost more by that arguement
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

... there is no way to refund this garbage.

isn't this illegal? at least in europe, in the first 15 days after the payment, you have the right to return a defective product or a product that didn't deliver what you expected by the advertisement. i'm not sure if it applies to international services sold in europe, but, being unable to get a refund of something that you find out that didn't deliver what you expected right after the payment, seems illegal in the civilized world. i'm not sure, but it's weird. did you tried to ask for the refund?

The more I play around with the more I don't like. The odd look to running is... weird. It's like the character is about to fall over and is holding out his hand to try to balance himself. I was hoping for something sneaky, but this reminds me of some weird anime-esque run.

It reminds me of the assassin run animation, which looks pathetic. The difference is, you don't pay for the assassin one so there's nothing to really be upset about. I couldn't imagine paying 1.2k crowns for this garbage.

So far all of the personalities have been really bad. I sort of liked the Heroic one (if that's the one you get from SotH) until it randomly started screaming and shouting. I just use the Idle Animations add-on with a customized profile and I like it much better.

Actually, I liked the assassin personality very much, the only thing that really bugged me was that, apparently, all assassins in the entirety of tamriel *can't stop fumbling with their oh-so-enchanted-magic-daggers-of-gruesome-murder for 5 *** minutes*! Makes you wonder how they even manage to stay in business at that rate.

I HATE the run animation on that one! I've always told people it looked like a stereotypical vampire running with his cape over his face.

And I imagine they really shouldn't do that. It is the Blade of Woe, and this Blade of Woe in particular is summoned when an assassin needs to send a soul to the Void.
What will the Matron say if she learns I've used it to cut and eat an apple? Elam probably wouldn't mind since he is obsessed with food, but it seems kinda wrong.
