Main Quest help(spoiler?)

I'm level 50 with 20 something CP and i'm trying to finish the main story quest.
After they say one of them must die the quest ends. I walk out and i'm greeted by the mage guild leader.
I do that quest and get teleported to Cold Harbor.
I teleport out and no more main story quest.
My question is do i have to finish Cold Harbor quests to continue with the main story?
I want the soul magic ultimate and i want to know how the story ends too.

Just a tip, don't drink the "water" in Coldharbor. It's actually KY jelly.
