What happened to nameplates?

I was gone for a few months, came back and noticed that nameplates are horrible. I looked through the settings and couldn't find any option to revert the changes.

What I mean by the old nameplates:

With the new ones I can't tell if the monsters are bosses, level or HP. With people I can only see either character name or account name, not to mention the odd and ugly fluorescent colors...

Did I miss the option? Is there any way to revert back to the original settings?

You need to turn on health bars as well, and there's settings for when to focus/hide them for every entity type.

But there's not any way to make the colors less horrible, thanks ZOS.

Alternative: Install Rainbow Reticle and only see it under the crosshair.
Kitty Rainbow Dash. pick, pick, stab.

The old nameplates, that you have in your first picture, still exist, and are still shown at the top of the screen when the reticle is over a target. Mob levels no longer exist, so they are no longer shown. Health values on the old nameplate aren't in the default UI, so you must have an add-on enabled in that first picture.

The new nameplates, that you have in the last picture, can be turned off in the Nameplates settings.

The healthbar that you have in the middle picture has had a bit of a redesign, but still exists. The settings for that one are in the Healthbars section of the Nameplates settings.
