No Login Prompt?

Have anyone else have this bug? I double click my ESO icon, hit play on the launcher window and ESO will auto login me in without asking me for username and password.

Maybe you had the box checked off on the login screen that says "remember me"? Or something similar.

So after you click play on the launcher window it goes straight into the character select screen?

That is weird. I know in some games you can choose to save both your username and password and then it'll do that, but I can only see an option to save your username in ESO.

Did you get the game from Steam or linked the game account in Steam?

I use the steam game however the account name I used is pre steam -- since beta in fact.

I believe they added this feature in the latest launcher patch. After linking you ESO account with Steam account the game logs you in automatically if you start it from Steam.

How to disable it? Ie if I want to use my alt accounts instead of my main one? How do I log into those?

It's the new Steam functionality; not sure if it can be disabled.

So waht you're saying is I can nver play my other account again because the people who made the game were stupid and didn't think that players can get locked out of their account because of the stupid steam link

Download the launcher from the ESO Account page itself and use it separately?

I've been able to get into the game without the auto-login by opening the launcher via steamapps/common/Zenimax Online/The Elder Scrolls Online/game/client/eso64.exe. If I open it directly via Steam it always logs me in automatically.

A bit of a pain, but at least I can still log in to my other accounts.

Make a Shortcut to eso64.exe on your Desktop, and there, convenience 95% restored.

Thanks, I didn't know that would work but I'd still like this issue fixed though.

Wait wouldn't that have me reinstall the game?

Ignore this entire comment for i just read the eso64.exe thing.
This is a great solution but still.

You can only link one account to your Steam account, so if you're logging in via Steam you will always get logged in to the linked account. To log in with other accounts you'll have to not log in via Steam.
