A cool idea would be like a pen in your house for them to run around, or in the house. A title could be something.

Um... here's an idea, a pack pet lol, strap a backpack to your pocket mammoth.

I know people are gonna say no, the reasons they'll give are: P2W, fix other things first, balance first, and no more crown store stuff.

    He's probably talking combat pets.

Pets ain't slaves. I do not expect my pets to do anything more that they do now. I don't wish them to loot enemies, carry stuff, provide bonuses. That way they cease to be pets and become something else. IRL, I expect my cats to be, well, cats. I don't need them to iron my clothes, get out the trash, teach my children to worship satan etc.

I simply love my black stripped senche for what it is.

I agree. I love my white senche for what she is.

But I do wish there some additional ... functionality that made the pet something other than just a shadow that follows you around, not really doing anything. I feel like I HAVE to have my pet follow me around because otherwise I would have paid for something that sits in my account and ... does nothing?

I would even accept that certain pets could fight (senches, for example) and cause damage, even if meant the player was reduced. (So 10% of player damage could be attributed to the pet ... and then the pet would fight). Of course, then you have goats and mudcrabs.

On that note, I think it's silly that people have the mudcrap pet following them around while their riding their horses at top speed. Silly and maybe a little cruel. I mean, stop and give the little guy a rest.

I'm happy with my pets as they are, they don't need to do anything extra for me to enjoy having them.

But it would be nice if there was some way to interact with them, maybe an emote where you can pet/stroke them and they react. (With the reactions varying between pets.)

I wouldn't mind a pet in reward of finding and exploring well hidden dungeons... Like the dwemer spider but way harder to find/get.

Well I'm not exactly sure how giving my guar a new color scheme is enslavement but I doubt I'm going to get through to you regardless. Also, as a side note, you should never play Morrowind. It may be too much for you to swallow as even the animal people were literal slaves. Tamriel has a little darker history than you may think ;)

Again though, doesn't have to be battle. I mean if you want to talk from a role playing stance then you are feeding and supplying for the the creature so for him to bring you a piece of leather from 10 feet away isn't that bad of a trade off. The term companion goes both ways.

I guess you like to jump to assumptions. I played the holy crap out of Morrowind. And I am all against slavery.
Also, if you had several different pets irl, you will find that not every single one of them has doglike attitude. Cat would not bring you a pair of slippers in a million years, parrot will never bring you newspaper, and golden fish would be rather a poor choice when it comes to defending its owner from a burglar, for example. Since ESO provide a variety of pets, it would not be fair not to give them all exactly the same abilities, or ppl would run just useful ones at the end. And that would kill diversity, if you ask me. I enjoy seeing ppl with baby netches, various dogs and feline pets, mamoths, nyxads, etc.

If pets would be able to damage enemies, it would be only fair to make them being able to receive damage, too. And I don't want any of my pets to be hurt in any way.

Also, you might have not considered this, but servers are already a total mess. Adding a new mechanic other than pure cosmetic to each pet might result in even bigger lag, and that is not what any of us would want.

Would love to be able to place all my mounts, vanity pets, and nifty nic-nacs in my house.

Do I want my vanity pets to do anything other than be cute companions? Nope.

As for fighting them, lol, what would be the point with the lack of gore in this game? ;p

They're just a vanity thing and a way for ZoS to make money. All they really do is cause lag in trials so I haven't used my pet in months now.

Now for a bigger questions, what's the point in sorc pets? Such a waste of a skill tree

They helped a lot when I was still leveling. Could solo world bosses easily when the pets were tanking them for me.
Twilight Matriarch is also powerful heal if you are palying sorc healer for dungeons (although a little unreliable as she tends to die when you need her most)
But I agree that the way they have been introduced is really clumsy. They could replace these 2 skills with something else and make a whole new skill tree under "Wrold" skills that contains summons and bound weapons (Give us dremora lords!)

True. I have love/hate relationship with my flappy-bird. Its the best heal I have and tanks very well for me but those damn wings! Get them outaa my face plz.
I don't comment here often but when I do, I get [snip]

I kinda wish we could make them look different. What wouldn't I give for having a Harpy instead of the Twilight :/
Not the ugly Wrothgar Harpies, the pretty ones that we can find in Khenarthi's Roost, Glenumbra and Alik'r.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

There are games where your pets can attack but wont take any damage. Or gives stats instead of attacking and stays there, that has some interacting options like petting them etc.
I would love to see pets with more action or stats. Like damage buffs or carrying backpack to increase inventory, gathering stuff for the owner.
I also would love to customize them. Sorcerer's summons too. The idea of turning twilight into harpy is a great idea. Also still cant see anything because of her wings.
