Noob crafting question: can you upgrade lvling gear to cp160?

Sry guys but I'm not really a crafter n need insight on the whole situation lol. Can u upgrade like a normal dungeon set u get as a drop to cp160 once u hit max lvl as long as u have the crafting materials? Is that even possible? In example, I run FG 2 as a dps n get the full viper set to drop but only lvl 40, can I hold onto that set then when I hit 50 n convert to champion rank upgrade that existing set to max lvl cp160 for the same character to wear? Any input would b appreciated n ty in advance!

No, you can't increase level of any gear.

What you can do is bank or mule those nice sets you get while leveling. Then your Alts can use them and not have to spend their time farming for good gear.

You are going to have 4 characters, one for each class, right? Otherwise you will spend half your time crying and the other half happy as they change the balance of the game.

When I was new, I did everything with one character, which gave me a better understanding of the class than I would have had if I'd divided my time between several alts. Since then I've spent almost all my time in ESO playing only nightblades and dragoknights, I've never even had a sorcerer above level 15 and I'm perfectly happy with that. As fun as it is to try out different things, sometimes a class just doesn't resonate with you and there's no point in wasting time on it.
