The best ways to make gold:
1-Refining mats for gold tempers (you farm zones for days just to refine 1000 mats for like 3 yellow tempers, the mats themselves are so cheap now)
2-Getting ingredients for potions (Running around the map for days again, just to get enough ingredients for potions)
3-Farming world bosses for that very rare weapon ( Running around between 3 wold bosses and a dolmen all day)
4-Running around farming world bosses for motifs.
Playing dungeons, Trials, VMA (actually playing the game) almost makes no money.
Its too boring it to do the mentioned things and its not actually playing the game, currently I am just spending money and making very little.
There has to be a reliable way to make good gold from dungeons and trials.
I don't pvp much but I think its even worse in PvP because of potion usage.

Vet trials give an item weekly but I think the best gold make strategy is just to kill and loot, or steal everything you can and sale it.
Personally I've never gained much from only doing dungeons and trials.

✭I've been a pack rat since day 1. Not your typical pack rat either. I've horded all my crafting mats across all professions since I've started playing.
With the craft bag it only helps since I now have an endless supply and infinite bag space for mats.
I do all 6 writs on 4 characters and hsve hirelings for all 8 of my characters.
I sell motifs, glass fragments, refined mats, provisioning mats, flowers!, runes... etc. I've made a killing selling these items. It takes a little time but every day I log on I'm getting 100k + just from the time I haven't played. Im in 2 trading guilds that aren't in prime spots but keep a 30/30 items listed at all times.
At OP, gold is the easiest thing to come by in this game. You could spend 10 minutes picking flowers in hollow city and make 10k +.
It's about finding what sells best and works for you, don't be lazy, be organized and know prices by looking at other stalls.
I'm on xbox so I don't have the luxury of addons. I'll have several million saved by the time housing comes out. If I see a sword that's stupid over priced, but I want it, I'm not going to farm a world boss, I'll buy it.3 -

✭✭ZOS have seriously broken the trading economy with the huge influx of gear and the switch to BoP. You only need gold to by mats, tempers and food/potions, which can all be obtained by farming anyway.
I am glad I made my gold before the changes but I now have nothing to spend it on. Might as well get rid of gold.Australian on PS4 NA server.

If I belonged to a guild with access to the guild traders I would try that.
Since I play casually (meaning I don't play this game consistently and take breaks) I have given up on trying to sell my stuff like that. The larger trade guilds frequently remove players who are not active full time.
I'm not saying I blame them. It's the system design that is at fault not them. I just got tired of trying to find new trade guilds to sell my stuff at every time I returned to the game.Edited by Jeremy on November 15, 2016 12:28AM3 -

✭✭✭Farming mages, fighters and undaunted quests I'm making 100ks. Course, might be because I was doing em on 12 characters. Doesn't take long. Even the dolmens ones unless you get a zone with out of the way dolmens. Even just selling the garbage in the reward box. It really adds up. 100s of ks of gold.1 -

✭Since One Tamriel I have been doing undaunted dungeon pledges (just Maj & Gilerion) every day & I have racked up ~200k gold doing so. I only spend gold on armour repairs, horse training & the listing fees for guild traders... so it slowly just accumulates.
I made over 500k before One Tamriel farming Alliance War motifs in Cyrodiil.. so I have that as a buffer to spend on monster hats at the golden vendor. Other than that... what is there to spend gold on? Most of the sets I want are BoP so I have to farm them myself. They harvest money off other characters.
In the game money is made by running quests, writs etc. It can also be made in sizable quantities by c4afting and selling to npc vendors in certain circumstances.
The game economy grows when more wealth is added, not when the same pile of gold keeps shifting hands.Proudly skooma free while talks-when-drunk is in mandatory public housing.

I don't like doing dungeons and trials. There should be a better way of getting gold equipment by farming in the wild. It's not fair that people who do harder content get all the good equipment.

2)Farm and refine mats
3)Do crafting dailies for more mats and golden tempers
4)...
5)Profit: you have a set of golden gear that is good enough for any content in this game without even touching "harder content". +You can sell extra tempers and buy the jewelry, or just farm one of 1T sets.

I raid 2 or 3 nights a week. All of em are progression vmol. We usually kill 2 bosses, wich is around 4-5 undaunted plunder. This hardly makes up for the repair cost.
I use +-250 pots a raid, = 750 pots a week. (Yes, nb)
End gamers are mostly min/maxers. What does that mean? They want perfect gear. EVERY SINGLE PATCH.
Most end gamers have multiple caracters, including different roles.
Most major patches mean every single caracter needs new gear. Upgrading all this gear is insanely expensive.
End gamers theory craft and test. Testing needs different gear sets ect.
Before 1T this worked out decent by selling some good gear from trials, but thats not a thing anymore.
So i have to farm over 200 wax and over 100 alloys every single major patch? No thanks, i play eso, not farming simulator#VMA token system5 -

Bop, leveled mats and now an apothecary vendor in IC, sure makes it hard to find that niche of item to sell. Tri-pots still sell, as well as cp160 mats but at much lower prices than before. Crafting has very few sets that are in demand, they may not be purposely tanking the economy but non the less they are getting there. I used to sell cp160 leat her for 15-20k per stack, it sell for maybe 8k now. But hey I can sell Psijjic ambrosia frags for 200k right.
They are slowly killing the game, I just hope they can reverse this trend before it gets out of hand.1 -

Join a proper guild and all the trial gear is shared.
