Can we just remove all snares?

The only skills that need a snare are ones literally mean't for snares, e.g Caltraps.

No gap closers
No broken OP proc sets, Tremor.
No poisons
No passives

Etc...

Just remove them from the game completely, they serve no purpose than to annoy people and empower the zergs, again..

Also remove that stupid gap closer snare you added to the game which no one asked for, the one that you added into the live game just when a big patch hit ignoring the 4 weeks of pts you had to try it out.

The one which you received a lot of feedback asking you to remove it which you of course ignored again.

The 60% one that lets me get snared in mist form, still.

I can understand skills like caltraps, utility skill to use via breaches or small spaces, but why does an OP proc set rob my characters ability to move, or if someone gap closes me with lotus fan or stampede thats it, good fight.

YES, the mob snare which also bypasses things like rapids is incredibly annoying... And also deadly in places like vcos maze with no light because your ***hole teammate died while holding it just before getting pulled into the maze.

You can remove all snares yourself by just not having a crap build. Either reserve a slot for a snare removal ability, or accept that your build has a weakness. You can't have a build that does everything.

*Edit: except gap-closer spam snare, that's still pretty silly, even if it's an improvement over the dead-stop it used to be.

    Lol Gtfo xD

    What magicka snare remover?

Mist form? Costs a lot of magicka, stops my magicka from regen, doesn't make me immune to snares because you come out and get snares again. GG

Purge, super costly? Doesn't make me immune?

Shuffle? It's nice, need 7 medium for it to be useful though, 3.5s of snare immunity is 1 dodge roll and a vigor and your back to snared again.

Lotus Fan ignore immunity since... ever? poison "give" 50% movement reduction for 10,5 sec, which unremovable.
Just give Minor and Major Snare/slowness , where both combined end in 50% reducement (15% + 35%), not stackable with Hinering.

What annoys me is how we have such powerful snares but are movement speed boosters don't go that high. Wheres my monster set that increases movement speed by 70% for 8 seconds?!

Gap closer snares are the worst though.

You can also run 2-hander and Forward Momentum. If none of those options appeal to you, then removing snares is not important enough to your build, plain and simple. There are hundreds of videos on the PvP forums showing people who are quite adept at playing even outnumbered, and against snares. The problem here is your playstyle or your build, not the system itself.

No forward momentum isn't an option, you wont do well healing via just vigor

No it's quite clear snares are out of control? Im quite adept playing even outnumbered but the question is.

What purpose are snares for? Why attach them to gap closers all it does is empower large group vsing smaller numbers as you can't escape. Caltraps i can understand, slow people at a breach.

But why does lotus fan have a 70% snare? Why do gap closer have a built in 60% snare.

At least for PvP, snares are a necessity because otherwise latency would reduce time-on-target for melee. At full speed everyone would just run circles around each other, resulting in a high percentage of abilities not firing because the client shows a target in one place and the server shows them in a slightly different place. Snares help to minimize this, they aren't going anywhere. Freeing yourself from them costs something, as it should.

Overworld PvE trash mob snares are irritating and really should go (or made more rare).

PvP snares, I really only have a problem with the "free" snares added to skills that don't really need them. Snares being attached to so many skills are what makes the snare removal mandatory, which makes snares bad, so nobody runs them outside of skills that give them for free...cyclical yo.

All snares need a consistent duration, and a not too high - like 4 seconds or so - 5 tops.
The mini snare caused by gap closers that bypasses everything needs to go. We have enough CCs in the game, we don't need this annoying one either.

Forward Momentum is completely viable as Vigor is, in fact, a solid heal and all you'll need for certain builds. Have you considered that if you weren't snared so much then you wouldn't need to rely on heals? Like I said before, you're not going to be able to do it all. There is no build with a *** for every tat. If you're losing to people in groups, stop fighting groups that are better than you, or join a group yourself that can take on such opponents.

The snare on gap-closers is, as far as I was able to gather when they changed it from a dead-stop, in order to make sure that you hit your target. We apparently both agree that this is terrible and should be changed, no question there. But it wasn't done to empower zergs, it's simply the way they designed the skill to make sure the user actually hits the target.

You mean you don't enjoy when your character can't do **** because it's snared rooted and stunned all at once? Then when you get out you get gap closed and feared to restart the process? Weird, it's the only way I'll play.
