I hope ZOS are considering making account transfers available. I've recently switched to PC from ps4 and it's difficult to get back into the game after spending many hours doing all of the content , getting research done etc....
What do you mean one time offer? They've offered it before?JamieAubrey wrote: »Sadly it was a one time offer

I don't even mind if my crown purchases have been reset, there has to be a consequence for my lazy habits, anyway
I'm not all that miffed about it, though. the graphical and performance difference between the Xbox one and the PS4 pro is enough to soothe the pain of the level/quest/gear/achievement/crafting/skillpoints grind. But if there was such a service, I'd hop on it like a Skooma addict.

Why should there be consequences for crown store purchases? Nothing lazy about it whatsoever. Those items were paid for with real cash, cash ZoS got either way due to them being purchased through the crown store which is independent from LIVE or PSN's market places. If there should be consequences for anything, it should be character progression, not stuff purchased with real cash.

ESO was on PC at least a year before it released on consoles, they allowed everyone on PC the option to transfer their account and EVERYTHING on it over to consoles when consoles released, I always thought it was a terrible idea to give some people a head start over others.
But yeah at OP, they did it before, i don't see why they can't do it again, I actually want to switch to PC myself, would also mean more money for ZOS as they can cut Sony out of all crown purchases i will be making.
Heck, i'd even be willing to pay for a transfer (on top of obviously having to buy the game on the desired platform too.)

It was a great offer to me. I had originally planned to play on PS4, which was set to release 3 months after launch. They had announced it was delayed a year but if you purchased it on PC before original console release, you could transfer. It wasn't to give PC players a head start on console, but as an option to play the game despite the delay and transfer to your originally intended system.

Great offer for the people doing it, bad for everyone actually starting at console release. There's a reason games in beta do wipes when they hit launch and not let you keep everything you hoarded to sell later on.
Wasn't there a dupe glitch issue on PC before ESO came to consoles too? Pretty sure there was and they just let people keep the stuff.

Look at it from someone with my perspective. I preordered ESO Imperial edition. I was very excited to start playing in June of 2014. May 2014 they tell me I won't be able to play until June 2015. If I were to buy it by June for pc I will be able to play on PS4 when it releases without losing everything.
It was a very limited consolation to people who wanted to play on console. I do agree they did implement the transfer badly though. I never even considered the exploit. People would have guild members load them up with valuables before the characters were copied if I remembered right. Then they gave the stuff back but the characters were already copied. Bad thing that was overlooked. Don't remember if they took any action.

An easy way to avoid most exploits would be to simply not allow gold or non-equipped gear/items to transfer.
