Should Character "Titles" be "Character wide" on players accounts?

Nothing should be account wide. Champion points account wide ruined half the game.

    Not all titles:

    - I'm ok with Master Angler, Enemy of Coldharbour, Daedric Lord Slayer, Monster Hunter, Holiday titles etc becoming account wide since they're nothing but a grind
    - But I'm not okay with Stormproof, Flawless, Ophidian Overlord and the other Trial Titles becoming account wide since they're signifying your skill with the class/build that char has

Too much account wide stuff devalues alts, especially for those who want to level the alt instead of race to endgame. Once something is made account wide, it is forever denied for leveling alts.

I think more things should be account wide I like playing alts but hunting down all sky shards every time is annoying as we get CP points when hitting level 50 why not get undaunted ranks, alliance war rank, sky shards and titles.

That is exactly what I specified, as some titles Like "Sun's Dusk Reaper" are limited time & likewise should be made account wide. Not all titles should be account wide (Especially Titles gained from trials like the maw of lorkhaj, sanctum ophidia, etc. as I can understand putting hard work into unlocking them.) but to be truthful here, this poll is mostly about limited time titles like sun's dusk reaper, etc. It is understandable if folks say no, because it would take the fun out of some areas & it is why I specified that maybe Only Limited-Time Titles should be account-wide.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

I suppose it partially depends on how you use titles.

I tend to be terrible at remembering where a title came from, unless it's blinding obvious like "Emperor". Instead I'll choose ones that sound like their fit the character's personality.

So for me it makes much more sense for them to be account-wide so I can put whichever title I have on whichever character it suits. Whereas for people who consider it important to show what that individual character has achieved it would be completely pointless to make them account-wide.

In other games I also know of people doing the exact opposite - when they start a new character they'll initially use their most impressive/highest level title as a way of letting people know they're not a new player and actually do know what they're doing, they're just playing an alt. (Which can for example make it easier to get accepted for dungeon runs.)

I voted for yes because this current system punished you for playing alts on some pure RNG achievements like for example the dark anchor one I don't have that on any of my 12 chars however I've killed every boss atleast 5 times just never on the correct char etc + my account earnt the title I did the work for them and to be honest 90% of the people are disagreeing due to roleplay reasons that being said there are some valid points like tracking skyshards etc

Overall I would like this to happen but done in the correct way so not to screw people over (maybe an opt in/out button? ) or maybe it lists the chars who have the achievement next to the achievement?

But to be honest I don't mind seeing a low level running around with flawless as I know the person who did it has earnt that achievement and I'm logical enough to know it wasn't on his level 10 crafter who's running around naked lol

    Most definitely not.

Achievements should mark some kind of accomplishment for that particular character. Making them Character-wide demeans their value and sense of accomplishment.

Character-wide Achievements would be the equivalent of letting every member of a family call themselves Olimpic Gold Medalists, when in fact only one of that particular family won the award.

No it doesn't devalue them.. You are the account and you earned these. Now that there are miss-ables, now that you couldn't hope to keep up on all alts with all achievements, the fact that content is lopsided to character roles all unlocks and accolades should be account wide. By your logic you shouldn't be able to use gear and items that you transferred through he bank or use dyes that you don't have the character achievements on. But I bet you do use those things. You have principles until it suites your argument not to.

In general, I'd say no - titles like Stormproof, the trial titles, PvP titles etc should be on the character that completed those things only.

However, some of the achievements and titles associated with those achievements (Master Fisher, the different trophy achievements, events, exploration and Dark Anchors maybe) could very easily be account-wide, with just those titles being account wide.

I kinda like how SWTOR did this.... achievements were account-wide, and there were both legacy titles as well as individual character titles.

    This again :)

No, conditionally. Special holiday titles maybe. But as for the rest, it doesn't make sense to see a low level character running around with a title that they couldn't have possibly gotten.
