As I'm sure many of you have noticed - sometimes while groaning if you read this forum on your phone - I take a lot of screenshots in this game.

Simple fact is I stay in ESO more for the game world than for the game. And among my favorite things is what players create. In theme park MMOs, alas, that's usually limited to player characters.

Some are interesting because the player was going for something outside obvious appeal....

Some are interesting in a collective sense....creating a moment that never took place but only appeared to.

And sometimes I find a character interesting but have no conscious idea why, exactly, I found it so. Something about this gal, and the way her body tattoos fit the outfit, the choice of colors, and the fact that the attitude emote script really fit the character....I just had to take a screenshot.

I'm hardly alone in finding what players create interesting. Thus I hope others will share their screenshots of players who caught their eye as well :p

    I see so many interesting characters in the game. Dyes, Gear Choices etc. But, when I go to make something interesting, it just turns out fugly. So, all my characters tend to be rather generic. Like these two:

    Whenever I see a male character in a wedding dress I like to put on the tux and go stand next to them. Cracks me up every time but I am easily amused.

    You made this thread to be about other player characters we run into, yet people come in here thinking its another "Show Us Your" thread. At least half of you stuck on topic with the OP.

    I actually took a screen once of two players in Rawlkha that were practically twins. Similar gamertags, both females, same armor. Decided it wasn't worth to upload and make a new thread over though so it's gone.

    TBH theres is so many charcters that make me cringe, I kind of stopped looking too hard.
    Built purely for no real reason except to mock...which is ok I guess.
    I guess its like desensitisation in a way.
    So I normally seek beauty in the environment instead.

    But over the past couple of months I have started to notice some real living works of art walking around.
    Makes me realise how ESO could be.

    -4gb ram DDR3 (As in shared with integrated VGA)

    And that screenie was taken long ago, now i usually go with prerendering on medium and antialising on to compensate the awfullness. But that way i can run dungeons properly (I want to put a smile face but i have mixed feelings about this, but i can play! lol *cries*)

    Yes, RR, I harp on this a bit too much I'm afraid...well...too much on this forum with its UNDERSTANDABLE focus on conventional achievement, on combat, on combat builds and all that.

    What makes this even more idiotic on my part is the simple fact that were ESO to develop the sustainable mechanics of a multiplayer game rather than an MMO, there would likely be a wholesale change over of its forum readership.

    Nonetheless, from day one, ESO has attracted the narrative-told-by-the-audience crowd. They're not that interested in the core game - not because they're bad at it either. They see the Elder Scrolls world as an irresistible array of enticing metaphors and delicious what-if propositions.

    For them, ESO appeals to their talents for language, for story telling, for imaginative expression in the way combat stimulates the theorycrafters.

    To be able to place yourself into another world entirely. To behave believably and convincingly as a member of another race in an imagined land rich in metaphor is as challenging and rewarding as any entertainment activity a person can engage in...well...for those so inclined of course :p

    See that just fine, @kargen27, plus I could see your earlier pic of your Liberace-like tux approach to guys in wedding dresses. Then it too vanished late last night.

    Image hosting sites can be glitchy is all. Plus old reliables such as PhotoBucket appear to be suffering and have eliminated support entirely.

    I'll give them one thing....at least they sign their robo replies as Robert the Robot ;)

    A friend this evening was trying to go for a Middle Eastern look and came up with this using Redguard. I think it came out well as this screenshot next to an Imperial character demonstrates. The setting helps ;)

    My main on the left. This was a totally random encounter, but they came out looking almost identical, both vampires, both with the same ginger hair!

    Basil never knew he had a twin! :D
